Elizabeth and Mature?!



Weird selection, and so what does this mean about the Mai and K' artwork on the KOF History site?

So it looks like SNK pulled a fast one on all of us with the K' and Mai art now that a new Famitsu scan has surfaced confirming Elizabeth and Mature are the new additions to the console version of King of Fighters XII (click image to the left for larger version). IGN reported that there could be "over" 22 new characters in the console version so maybe more are on the way, via DLC perhaps?

Details on the console version are far and few between at this point, but its scheduled to release in July so I'm sure we'll have a lot more information on the final version fairly soon.

So maybe Mai and K' are in after all.  The thing is, why not say "24 characters" if this is true?

The arcade game has 20 characters.  There's definitely two home-exclusive characters, and then there's been speculation that there may be more than just two being added.  There was a "six new characters are coming" rumor, but it seems to have been squashed.

I missed that part, sorry!   

Famitsu has screens up.  There's no more room for anymore characters, although that hasn't stopped them from putting in hidden characters off-screen before.  This is likely it though.

I love Mature's redesign.  Makes me miss King less.

She's probably going to play somewhat differently then in the past, taking into account her differing neutral stance and outfit swap.

Think I'm gonna go back to KOF XI and play it in the classic team mode as a way to get used to the latest versions of the characters again.  Probably won't help much, but what the hey.
