Mythos reappears (only in Korea so far)
« on: May 08, 2009, 04:57:29 AM »
It's been quite a long time since we had heard about the status of Mythos. Following the closure of Flagship Studios, we learned that Mythos (along with Hellgate: London) were to go back into development at a new office of T3 Entertainment in the United States. It's been quiet on all fronts ever since, but things are looking up for Mythos fans. An official website for the game has gone live (spotted by MMOHub), and although it's in Korean, the magic of online translation lets us know what's happening with development of the Diablo clone.

A development note reads in part, "I know that many gamers are waiting to play Mythos. The reason why we didn?t give out any news for such a long time is because we wanted to wait until we are able to open the most accurate information. Right now, Mythos is in good condition where it's being reconstructed to become more suitable as online game. We are trying to keep the strengths that the game used to have, and make them even stronger, while eliminating its weaknesses. As many of you already know, Mythos has come from Diablo>We are trying to inherit those thing you enjoyed, and loved about Diablo, and put more contents for more exciting multi plays."

No mention of a U.S. release was made in the note, but given the fact that the game is being worked on by a developer located stateside and the beta was warmly received, it wouldn't be a stretch to hope for it to be released here eventually.

Here's hoping it makes it here.

I was on that Korean website like 3 weeks ago. Surely people haven't found this out just now.
