Beat the POS. I died on him after shooting him and chasing him for 20 minutes straight because his stomp instakills you on Hell mode apparently. So bad. At least I'm done with the game, just gotta leave it on for a few hours because I still don't have the achievement for playing for 15 hours. Guess I'll play Ghost Trick in the mean time.

But yeah, the game's pretty bad. It has a few redeeming qualities, and the stages can be kinda fun to play, but it's annoying how glitchy the game is and how badly it runs. I'd give it a 4/10... maybe 5.

You'll just quit Culdacept the first time the computer cheats and beats you after a 2 hour match; don't bother.

i finished culdcept on ps2,i don't see how this one would differ that much?

anyway i just defeated

and i already said it but fighting psychopaths is the worst thing of this game ever, like it makes me want to stop playing the game altogether, they are hard sure but it's for all of the wrong reasons

anyway i guess i'm halfway trough the game looking at that case file?

Started playing Drankensang: River of Time again now that I've gotten The Witcher out of the way. It's a fun game and the kind of RPG that I happen to like most [party-based, lots of strategy involved]. It's not quite to the level of combat complexity as the likes of Baldur's Gate, but it's certainly much more so than any western RPG recently.

I just started this also.  ;)

It feels really slow having just come off DA2. Even the running speed is really slow. I actually thought that was the walk speed at first, and was checking the key maps to toggle run on lol.

It's like the complete opposite of DA2 even tho they have similar mechanics. There is a plethora of character builds to choose from compared to DA2's three main classes.

However, I've only played a couple of hours and can't say if the combat is actually better than DA2's. I kinda doubt it tbh. DA2's combat is too fast,  this one feels too slow.

Dragon Age: Origins is somewhere in the middle, while DA2 sped things up and Drakensang slowed things down. A lot of it comes down to preference, of course.

GTA3 is still my favorite GTA even after all these years.

Getting level 12 ambulance is still a bitch as ever. I got to level 7 on paramedics and ended up accidentally toppling my ambulance FUUUU

SA is so easy in comparison. I did like 40 taxi fares in a row with no challenge, I have to use strategy and fast leg it to do even 20 in III.

Tried playing GTA 3 a number of years ago since I never beat it and couldn't stomach the awful controls or mini-health cars that explode crazy easy.

But then I never played the GTA series personally to do all the extra shit.

The controls are awful? I think they're great on pc. Same for VC and SA. Takes a bit of time getting used to driving with WASD but I'm driving like a pro like I did on ps2, probably even better. The biggest problem with GTA3 trilogy on pc is that even when I'm shooting at people I'm never sure if they're taking damage.

I'm trying to beat level 12 paramedics so I can get infinite sprint. :punch Trying to do all that stuff before I start the mafia/triad beef. That stuff is a bitch when you have people who hate you.

I already did 100 fares so I unlocked the bloody taxi :bow

i know you guys suggest to use either the axe+hammer combo or the gloves+knife combo but i'm really liking the drill+spear combo as a boss killer,it's so fast and it still deals the same amount of damage the gloves and the hammer do

anyway i'm amused somebody tought there was a space for a texan poker minigame in the middle of a zombie hack & slash game,i also laughed a lot when i found a "hawaiian set" and i tought it would be some hawaiian t-shirt but then it turned out to be a hula dancer dress :lol :bow japanese developer :bow2

Been improving slightly in Mushi Futari 1.5 Maniac. Got 190m~ score now, which is still pretty shitty but at least I can make it through most of stage 4. It's hard playing 1.5 because Black Label is so much faster paced. I'm not really a fan of 1.5 Maniac's scoring system either. BL's is much better.

1.5 is hard though. Harder than Ketsui's first loop, I think. It's probably going to be a long time before I beat it (Ketsui took me 30ish hours). :(

Also, God mode is super fun. There's nothing more satisfying than filling a screen with hundreds of flashing gold x30,000's. I think I'll play it more often.

uh, kids in the hall?

canadians are awesome, don't judge our humour by the distinguished mentally-challenged fellows we ship to the US.  we ship them there so as to get them the fuck out of canada.  enjoy mike myers, suckers.
And John Candy. Man, he may have been a nice guy, but he wasn't funny. And Martin Short. Thanks a LOT for sending us your crap!

even after all these years the first splinter cell is so fucking hard for me
Yeah, I remember finishing the tutorial for that game, feeling pretty spiffy, then going into the first mission, trying to navigate  a flaming hallway within the first 5 minutes. Trying to traverse z-depth obstacles on a 2D screen is an Achilles heel of mine. I bumped into one of the flames, and suddenly Sam was on fire. Apparently his high tech gear is all made from compressed gasoline gel. I realized I'd never be able to finish a game which started at that difficulty. Never picked it up again.

Yeah, absolutely so. In GTA3, I got to the point an Ambulance where I could tell where the patients were waiting by watching the relative amount of movement of the pip on the radar. Even so, I've gotten to 11 but never cleared 12. Between the fragility of the ambulance and its top-heaviness, balancing the need for haste against those; it's like magic.

In contrast, getting San Andreas' Vigilante to level 12 was the sweet R3 mission in that game. I was even loading up garages with cop bikes so I could hoof it to a safe house and grab a fresh bike when needed. So many times I'd got an hour or more into the mission, only to suddenly run out of time or not have a police vehicle nearby. Good times. When I finally cleared it, I think I probably jumped around like a total spaz.

The final boss in Bullet Witch is one of the worst bosses in video game history. No hyperbole. Whoever designed this should leave the video game industry and go work at McDonald's or something.

That's exactly what I thought about the P3 final boss.

Assassins Creed 2: Trying to do the four-part Assassin tomb in Venice was probably not the smartest thing to start at bed-time.

Then I realized there was a glyph on the neighboring building, so I had to find out where that was. Found it, solved it...

I was up an hour and a half later than I'd planned to be.  :-\

The game is still fabulous.

275 mil in Mushi Futari 1.5 Maniac (with Reco). :)

I spent almost 2 hours in training mode, figuring out how to fight all of the bosses with as few bombs & deaths as possible. Stage 1 boss is easy to no miss no bomb, stage 2 boss is kinda hard to no miss no bomb, but I can do it fairly consistently, stage 3 boss is tough, so he takes at least 2 bombs, and the stage 4 boss isn't too hard to beat with only 1 bomb. I haven't practiced Larsa much, but I know she's going to make Reco her bitch. I'll need at least 2 spare lives and another bomb or two to take her down.

Now I need to watch some more videos and try to pick up some better strategies and scoring routes. For starters, I need to figure out how to score during stage 2. I know I'm leaving tons of points behind because there's so many opportunities to cash in.

It's Zelda, but the combat is God of War, and the art style is Image Comics. If any ONE of those sounds unattractive, it's not the game for you.

if this game was japanese i would be piloting some giant robots and fighting robo cats and instead i'm some buff dude fighting world of warcraft rejects >:(

anyway i killed the first boss, and i don't hate the game but it's so averagish, when people said it was like zelda,i tought it would be like zelda but without all the lame puzzles that never amazed anybody, instead is EXACTLY like zelda,up to the "boomerang catch fire and hit things that need fire" bit,i find some solace in combat even tough it can be pretty much summed in "X,X,X,DODGE,X,X,X,DODGE" which i guess is what would count as "god of warrish"

basicaly it feels like an uninspired mish-mash of lame over-rated popular game

Zelda comparisons are fucking stupid because they're usually completely off the mark. Darksiders does not feel like Zelda AT ALL. Alunda, now that's reeks of Zelda. Wonder Boy in Monster World, now that's a total Zelda 2 clone.

Stop comparing shit to Zelda when its nothing like it.

Well, collectibles aside, Wet seems really good so far. I've only played through the first chapter, but it seems like it's a better version of Stranglehold. Or a version of The Club that doesn't suck. Or a second-rate Vanquish (with a better scoring system). So it seems like it has a good chance of being the second best TPS this gen... will have to wait and see.

If it stays fun throughout, I probably won't mind playing through it 4 times.

but anyway you know what? the more i play this game and the more i'm puzzled why people rave about ocarina of time so much, the shit i'm doing here is the same shit i do in zelda (heck at least here i can die in combat!) and it's not fantasticmagicalawesomely like petting a bunch of welsh corgi puppies it's averagish like browsing the internet for welsh corgi puppies pictures!

and before someone starts "oh that magus! lashing at nintendo so he looks cool!" i don't really care about nintendo,it just bugs me when something is so popular for no apparent reasons, like twilight or that youtube guy with a squeaky voice

i asked for youtube video's of FF13 360 announcement and one of the results was this

and here's the thing! this is a parody but if you put zelda in this video instead,it probably would be not and that drives me crazy....

Awwwwww yeah, scored 313m in Futari 1.5 Maniac. I totally forgot there was an achievement for scoring 300m as well, so I was pleasantly surprised when that popped. That's gotta be one of my toughest achievements yet. :)

The run started out pretty poorly (fucked up the final pattern of the stage 2 boss, which cost me at least 20 million points, maybe even 30... almost ragequit after that), but I did well in stage 3 and decently in stage 4. I haven't practiced stage 5 too much, so I just winged and scored wherever I could. Had a few stupid deaths so I didn't even make it to the final boss, but whatever. There's no way I'm going to beat her without at least 2 lives in stock. I figured if I score well when I eventually clear the game, I'll wind up with ~350 million or so, which I'll be very satisfied with. That should get me into the top 100 on the leaderboard.

The Futari 360 disc + Black Label DLC is one of the best games of all time. There's so much content between each version and ALL of it is 10/10 quality (besides the bad arrange mode). Shit's ridiculous.

started some Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm

Crysis 2 is good

Bulletstorm... Bulletstrom is amazing. The demo didn't do much for me at the time so I didn't give it a look-in at release, but this is the most fun I've had playing an fps in a loooooong time. If it carries on like this, this could be a strong contender for my goty. So, so good. Damn.

also, forgot to add, game has some pretty great dialogue and writing

Now on to firetruck missions.

I've already got 100 taxi fares.

I may do vigilante missions after firetruck missions or wait until I get to the next island. Meh.

I finished Portal 2 and all the SP related achievements in a day... that was disappointing. Waiting for my coop dude to get on so we can try that.

So I went back to the Prince trilogy... and want to rip my pubes out at the horrible camera and shoddy clipping. They should just remake this instead of revisiting this old ass shit.

Bioshock 2

Played another hour today. It's an easy game to get into, but hard to truly enjoy. The thing is that it just feels like I'm playing through Bioshock 1 again, only it's not quite as good. There's the same progression, same combat, some fetch quests, same "moral choice", and even the locations feel the same. Only this time there's the added benefit of the locations feeling needlessly large. There's just nothing new here.

Too much SRW.  I'm about a 1/3rd through after a week of non-stop playing.  Probably around 30ish hours.  Definitely feeling the burn out.  I can't game 30 hours in a week anymore; it's just way too much.  When I'm not playing some brand new rpg/srpg I probably play about 10 hours of gaming a week, which is more my pace now a days.

Anyhow I need to finish Z2 over the next few weeks so I can stop playing 100 hour long jrpgs/srpgs and get back to my western backlog of 10 hour AAA big budget titles like Portal 2/Dead Space 2/Alan Wake/Halo Reach/Killzone 3.

after darksiders i was thinking of picking a sandbox game but i want to dodge gta4 because i have played rockstar games and they are laaaaaaaaaaaaame

i saw a video of just cause 2 and i'm not really sure i can resist the temptation of a game featuring stuff that explodes,a grappling hook and airplane stealing otherwise i was thinking of either saints row 2 or crackdown?
