PSP version looks weak as hell. Looks like it's missing a ton of details that made P3 great. Looks cheap.

Have enough HP to survive.

Honestly, you kids are fucking milk-babies.  You wouldn't know hard if it balled its fist and shoved it up your lovehole, powderpuff.

the problem is not the damage, the problem is the enemy taking a turn twice in a row thanks to the distinguished mentally-challenged one more system, and there are enemy which will murder you in those two turn no matter how many HP you have

jesus CHRISTOS you suck at rpg

Risk: Factions' AI can blow me. Multiple faction battles against AI end up looking like one of those Japanese videos where some poor girl on a train gets felt up, pushed to the ground, and then jizzed on by every male passenger.

Continuing Batman: Arkham City, and it is still fun but BEGINNING to feel like a chore. I haven't sussed out pressure plate Riddler Trophies. I guess they just involve gliding or leaping instead of walking or running? I am having a hard time with them. My son keeps asking me to show him "Nyaa-t Man" instead of "Cat Woman," which is pretty cute.

Old Republic - Still having some fun with it but I'm definitely starting to get tired of the MMO formula. I realized that while enjoying my time, I'm really just itching to play a Bioware game so...
Mass Effect 2 - Played the first and liked it and never touched the second. So I bought it on PSN, and some huge download later I started it up. I'm having a lot of fun even though I'm only a couple hours in but the shooting is definitely more fun and tighter than the first game which is really all I wanted (some nice third person shooting with Bioware dialogue trees and RPG elements). I'm satisfied so far.
Mario Kart 7 - I love Mario Kart and this may be my favorite so far so I've been playing this from time to time.

Completed Serious Sam The First Encounter HD yesterday. Had only fucked around with it a bit ten years ago so I had this vision in my head of it being this carefree big dumb fun kind of thing, and I'd completely forgotten just how fucking stressful it really is. Like you barely make it through a relentless gauntlet with your only reward being the knowledge that ten seconds later you're gonna have to do it all over again. And again, and again. At first there's actual level design but that gradually gives way to successions of huge plazas where everything just charges you from all sides.

When projectiles are added to the mix it often becomes really cool, like a first person variant of a bullet hell shooter. But mostly things just charge you. The fact that it actually works shows how solid the foundation of the genre really is more than anything. Also AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

still playing rune factory and i think i might have broke the game,i forged something like a bajillion of swords and got my smithing skill to max, then i forged the 3rd most powerfull katana in the game...

to be fair while i like the game,it doesn't do much to differentiate itself as you keep playing, the dungeon are more or less all the same and after a while all the money you get become pointless so there's no real reason to dabble in the "harvest moon" part of the game, raising your skills trigger the "NUMBER GOING UP" part of your brain but there is a sudden jump in the skill required to make high level item for when you reach the high level materials which leads to incredibly boring amount of grinding

Orcs Must Die is one of my favourites from last year, even though I barely played it before the year ended. It's a shame there's a section in the middle where it moves from a third person tower defense game to some ridiculous trial and error action game, but by the last few levels it rights itself and is pure tower defense. I don't know who decided to make the middle levels multiple paths, with no indication of where the orcs are coming or giving you enough gold to cover each path. Later on they give you enough coins if there's multiple paths.

Going back through on the harder levels should be more enjoyable with a full suite of traps.

got the "Severed" DLC episode for Dead Space 2 as it was on sale for 280MSP.

Utterly pointless content, its just a lame little story based in locations visited in the main game. Took me an hour to beat and get all the cheevs, and I got 250G from it, so it could have been worse. Still, it was just a couple of bucks so whatever.

I'd rather play Dota 2, but I'd need a couple invites first :( Will probably have to wait until it's available to everyone.

The constant grind of LoL is pretty annoying (leveling, unlocking champs and runes and such), but it's fun enough anyway.

Yeah, I saw you beat this.  I'm going to try to finish it up today (have 4 stages left on normal).  I never thought about trial and error being the problem.  I just figured I was bad at the genre, lol.  I mean luckily I've made it through all the stages on my first try so far, but I got quite a few 1 or 2 skulls on those middle stages you're talking about where they really don't give you enough money to cover everything.  I would try to build defenses on 1 side while I personally cover the other side just myself with no traps.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

Still really enjoy the game.  My strategy for every stage has been Tar pits + arrow walls + ceiling pounders (when low ceiling available) + barricades to funnel + guardian at the end of the barricade to tank.

The main problem is not knowing where they come from, which is a cardinal sin for these games. And I think they don't give you enough money to cover everything deliberately so you use some of your powers (ice/lightning), but after a few waves you have more money than you know what to do with. I think in that regard it's just poorly balanced, and the levels requiring you to run back and forth to different doors are the low points of the game.

Best combo I've found is brimstone -> tarpits with grinders on the wall in small corridors, otherwise wall arrows. Also if you can use barricades you can set up a roof mace in the direction the orcs are coming which is really deadly.

I really enjoy it too, and the Nightmare levels are a bit more fun albeit hectic (you have no time to setup). Going to try the Lost Adventures DLC tonight (only 5 levels).

Bastion is better than the demo but I'm still waiting for the turn when this game becomes interesting.  I think I've played for 2 or 3 hours and all I've done is walk down a straight path in samey looking environments mashing buttons.  It's like a loot game without loot and kinda clunky and without any exploration or challenge.

Just cleared it myself.  The final stage was pretty tough.  I hate the bomb guys that destroy all my barricades so I can't just funnel all the enemies into 1 or 2 points.  Had to basically setup guardian dudes at every entrance to the rift area with a dummy and some tar pits.  Was rough.

Anyhow, great game but man did I hate the werewolf "gnoll hunter" enemies.  They would always rush my ass, ignore all my traps/guardians/decoys and keep me from actually fighting normal enemies while they killed me and cost me -5 rift points each time.  So annoying.  Never figured out a good strategy against them.

I take back what I said about Binding of Issac. It's really addicting, and it gets better the longer you play it. It's tough tho, haven't been able to beat it yet. It can be a bit frustrating at times, but you run through it so quickly that it doesn't really matter.

Outland is pretty rad.  I should have played this sooner.  Feels like a great super metroid so far.

Also is it just me or is Renegade Ops kind of hard solo?  The missions are freaking long and strong enemies can kill you in a few seconds.  Seems like a game designed for 4p.

Learn to dodge attacks better and when to use your skills. The upgrades that you buy will be a huge help eventually too. I've been playing it for the past week. Got up to the last mission earlier. I've managed to get through most missions without dying or dying only once. Got game over twice so far (on the 3rd mission and on the final mission).

Got some time to boost multi this weekend if you wanna try and hook up for some AC rev

I'm using the girl with the nukes from space because it does a ton of damage when I can use it.  When I can't she seems kind of sucky :(
I just beat the game with the black dude. His armor skill helps a lot once you upgrade it to reflect back attacks. Haven't tried anyone else yet.
