Man, really enjoying the hell out of
Arkham Knight, but the game feels really short. In like 5 hours and maybe 1.5 real dungeons after 2 evening sessions I feel like I'm halfway through the main plot and I've done a bit of every sidequest already. Part of it is that movement and gameplay is super fast. Everything feels like turbo-speed compared to the previous 3 games that were a little more slow and methodical in retrospect. I love that since I like fast. But yeah, pretty sure gonna finish this in like 4-5 nights. Only real complaint I have is that the driving controls suck (car feels light as paper, no weight) for any kind of racing segment/challenge and while I like the dialogue, the story itself is pretty minimal (not much has happened so far), oh and there's too many screen pops up and somebody talks to you and stops you from playing moments throughout. But otherwise game is a ton of fun.
Actually maybe it's just because every single game these days (or at least 80% of the games I'm playing this year) are like 60+ hours long that a <20 hour fast paced game feels really short to me. Then again those 7 hours of CoD Advanced Warfare felt about 5 hours too long.
For comparison, also playing
Ao no Kiseki (Trails of the Azure) and after like 8 hours I'm still in the first chapter and the game hasn't even started yet

But it's good. I just found someone's misplaced umbrella and somehow they made that satisfying. All these Kiseki/Trails games are slow and slice of life world development, but good. Also about 2/3rds through
Super Robot Wars BX after like 40 hours and it's ok. Nadesico (the ship) just got an upgrade and it's been so damn long since I've seen Nadesico as a teen that I didn't even remember the ship gets an upgraded form.
