My persona 3 disc is scratched so I'm playing Nocturne instead, this is my first megaten game enjoying it so far, question, what is that sphere in the top left of the screen that says 3/8, half, full etc?

err but anyway,that sphere on top it's the moon (tough the game refers it as kagatsuchi) it affects fusions (if i remember correctly mainly skill inheritance) what kind of gems you find inside treasure chest and when it's FULL,monster go crazy and you can't converse with them

Back before you were born, Capcom and Atlus did a collaboration. Dante would be in Nocturne, and Kazuma Kaneko (or whoever the artist is for SMT) did designs for DMC3's Dante Demon transformation.

Just played the tutorial level and two sections of the first chapter so far. Seems good, puzzleplatforming with really solid design, good art and nice music (Richard Jaques Studio).

All the tri-Ace talk recently made me want to play Valkyrie Profile again. I played it way back when it first came out, but I never really got that far into [maybe 10 hours or so]. The main problem was that it had a much different flow than other RPGs from the same time and I kept getting lost in the dungeons because all the rooms looked basically the same. Now, however, I appreciate it for telling interesting stories with interesting characters in little vignettes [similar to Legend of Mana, although with more Western stylings]. Combat's a bit basic early on and is already getting kind of repetitive, but it should pick up once I unlock a few abilities and get my party filled out. Great game from one of the best periods of Japanese RPGs.

Just use a faq so you go the right route and get the true ending. Plot is much more satisfying that way.

Valkyrie Profile one of the best games ever, good pick.

I just beat the secret boss in Breath of Death VII, now to beat the game. Also started playing Bonded Realities (Earthbound-influenced RPG) and Apple Jack (Mario 2's pick up and throw mechanic turned into a puzzle-platformer), which I bought today. This weekend I'm gonna catass Vagrant Story, especially if we have shitty weather. I haven't touched the game in 2 weeks.

i bought a new machine gun,then added every new powerup i got from all the side-quest to it,like i added 7 barrels to it,it now charges a LOT LOT LOT faster,so i went and kicked the ass of those 4 yeti,i killed 2 with each heroic action

anyway do terminal effect stacks,like if i put 2 "DOUBLE ITEM UP" would it count as a quadruple item up? should i have some of these effect converge into the arena? i already have the double experience and double terminal effect one

I decided to run through DQ5 before DQ6 hits - I left off just when you turn to stone. Most elongated bit ever. Had to sit for 15 minutes just to watch the seasons change... really

Finally I can have an all-human party though... only took to the 3/4 point of the game.

That's something similar to what I did, it's either rank 43 or 45 (the one with the turrets you need to lob grenades into), but that one gives you MAJOR experience gains.

having double experience it's fantastic,i lob a grenade and i jump 3 level with a single attack

my character started around level 65 and after reaching level 44 of the arena they are now around level 95 and vashyron has level 40 in machine gun,i deal so much damage sometimes the stray bullet are enough to kill weaker enemy

Just make sure you grind to a really high level (can't remember how high) before you go to Neverland. Typical tri-Ace extra dungeon with the same monsters you've already killed a hundred times, except this time they're level 150 or something.

Get your mg person to mg 100 and you're fine. I trouble with one room but got it after a few tries. The hidden boss is broken against 100 mg.

Getting 100 mg is pretty easy if you've been doing the arena. Stage 43? Against the two helicopters with 2x xp will get you there in no time.

i don't remember any stage with helicopters but yea the leveling up potential is quite obvious

if anything now that i can make the special holder i should properly add more barrels/scope to my machine guns

there is one thing i don't understand,if i understand correctly a level 100 charge will deal full scratch damage no matter what so is there any reason to dual wield after reaching that?

I've gotten caught up in playing Embric of Wulfhammer's Castle all day. It's this RPG Maker 2003 game made by some dude on the internet, basically what you would imagine a game made by 4chan might be like. The game's got items, parties, and levels, but no actual combat, as far as I can tell. It's mainly wandering around and talking to people. Which is a lot better than it sounds because there's a metric ton of dialog and it's all about a hundred times better than any JRPG ever made. Also, there's no way to actually lose. Even if you get a "bad ending", you can still just jump back to right before you got the ending and do everything else. Definitely worth playing.

FullHD-pic, so spoiler'd. It's Gratuitous Space Battles. Build ships, customize their tactics, then let them battle it out against foes. You only get to watch the battle, but it's awesome in its own way.

I've also been playing some Puzzle Quest 1. Started a druid, and that style of gameplay doesn't seem to suit me. Been dying left, right and center. I'm more of a warrior type, methinks.

Also futzing around in the Rift beta. I'm never gonna buy this game, but it's a decent WoW clone with some tweaks here and there, so it's not half bad.

Have also been considering unpacking my 360 for a quick visit to Saints Row 2. I've got that itch to scratch, and while Yakuza is great fun and whacky at times it still doesn't even come close to the ridiculous crap you can pull in SR2. Plus, in SR2 I get to run around as a guy or gal of my choosing, not some zany muscular guy in a suit with eyebrows the size of Alaska.
