I got tired with hostesses in 2. Running a host club is far more fun than being the patron. Too bad the club management gets broken and unbeatable after a while.

Oh man those Yakuza 5 impression sound bad...

I'm playing Neverwinter and Last Light. Both own, but I wish LL had less scripting. I don't know why morons compare this series to STALKER.

The worlds are similar. But even the zone is a more friendlier place than the surface in Metro.

Playing the first Torchlight game, actually pretty funny. Normal difficulty seems to be too easy though.

I usually play games on the default difficulty, but with Torchlight you have to increase at least one notch.

Yeah, I play always on normal, but I'm on the 6th floor now and have like 50 spare health potions. Getting new loot isn't really motivating if you can easily deals with enemies anyways. Think I've read somewhere that you can change difficulty in the console somehow.

Fighting monsters in Metro Last Light has really bought the game down for me. They aren't fun, and feel like terrible bullet sponges who just rush you.

It's a shame, I feel the game started strong and has last steam.

Finished Ghost Trick. What an odd little game. And that ending, my oh my. The little Pomeranian called Missles is the best character. 5 ^_^ out of 5.

I'm playing Skyrim at the moment. Had it since launch but I'm only about 40 hours in and there's no sign of any ending at this stage. Also juggling that with Deus Ex and Fallout New Vegas... bad idea  :-\

I have so many games and can never decide what to play. Shame this trimester at uni is ramping up, probably won't have time to play games after this weekend.

Being the nub that I am, I totally forgot you can't cancel bids on eBay. I placed a bid on Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story and found a better one an hour later, placed one on that and now I have a high chance of buying the same game twice since the listings don't appear to be popular oh god why. *fingers crossed* 5 hours to go.

Still getting through Shinobi, its really brutal sometimes, but the bosses are pretty easy.  I don't know if its "cheating" to just wait for a bunch of sub-enemies to show up and create a huge combo to one shot the boss, but that's what I'm going with.

Don't feel bad. if you don't get proficient at chaining weak enemies into a one-shot the last boss will poo in your face.

While Last Light had waaaaaaaaaaaay too much scripting I still enjoyed it. I wish there were more open areas and exploration.

I'm playing Darkness Within now. It's pretty creepy for a point & click FPA.

Somebody outbid me on one and I ended up winning the cheaper offer made by the more reliable seller. $11 ain't so bad, then again I won't be in the clear until this is in my hands. I'm still one of the biggest ebay skeptics.

Either way, I'll finally be playing this legitimately after failing to do so on my now dead DSlite like a thief. I'm starting right after being done with Dawn of Sorrow... Which should be sometime this weekend.

Nope, its the main point of the combat system and that's how you get the high ranks.

Also as said your gonna need it for the last boss.

i've gotten to the final boss in rogue legacy,it's a really frustating game,it took me around 20-30 try to defeat the fourth boss and the first time i defeated it the game glitched on me and didn't give me the victory :maf

the final boss simply murders me,i guess i could do it if i got better loot but the thing just won't drop and it's infuriating :maf :maf :maf

I picked up Kid Icarus: Uprising with some leftover Gamestop store credit and I enjoy it a lot more this time around. The on-foot controls really annoyed me when I played it on an XL, but on the regular 3DS I find it more comfortable to hold while playing. Maybe I'm easily impressed (I'm certainly never bothered by aliasing in 3D games) but just like Animal Crossing, this game is gorgeous.

I really can't wait for Link Between Worlds to drop, I'm gonna make sweet midnight love to the eShop download of that game. And Smash? :lawd

While waiting for State of Decay's 2nd Title Update to rollout, I went back to Chime, and took care of my penultimate remaining Achievement there. Don't know that I'll be able to get 100% in 3-minute mode, but I may try a bit more again. Watching YouTube for strategies, just about everyone is faster than I am.

Also tried going back to Hexic HD, because I appear to be lowest on my friends list Leaderboard there. Turns out, after playing for an hour today, that's unlikely to change. I can't seem to wrap my head around the movement changes when dealing with "flowers" and "black pearls." I know they're a means of really freeing up the player to arrange things at will, but I'm unable to make the logical jump and see it.

Also finished SoD to full gamerscore and got all the avatar awards, and find that I still want to play it, which is rare.

saying goodbye to mass effect with the omega dlc [edit - i mean citadel dlc because omega dlc sux]. prolly the best dlc in the series because its so huge: you get a full campaign thats fun and has lots of variety, a new hub world with a battle arena/casino/minigame shithole, and a LOT of new conversations with your characters that are tailored to choices you made with each of them over the game. you can tell they really put a ton of effort (and money) into this to please the fans and it totally payed off. fantastic send-off for the series.

agreed, although i really like me3 too. the variety + fanservice makes me feel like a westaboo bebpo. lots of corny jokes and scenarios, janky minigames that are still fun to go through, and the combat almost feels as fun as the hard difficulty mp stuff. the new character was great too. a lot of fun lighthearted stuff thats a good break from the heavy deus ex machina stuff in the main campaign. FUCK i am enjoying myself right now

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

i got this because i knew it had tie to asura's wrath (which is a kickass game) and when the game started i was amazed, the game start with a battle against nine tails and it's the most amazing looking thing in a licensed animu game ever,a far cry from the like of dragon ball GT final bout

but then you get to the actual stuff and it's a like a constant torrent of talking and cutscene, and talking and cutscene and talking,it's a friggin fighting game for god sake! look at this shit,it takes like 15 minute of cutscene's going nowhere before each 2 minute fight

Ratchet & Clank Crack In Time

eeehhhh it's okay, nothing wrong with it but it really feels like i'm retreading ground and that i might as well replay ratchet & clank 2 instead,a lot of the new weapon feels really gimmick too and i really find myself hard pressed to use anything other than the normal gun,the sonic frog and the glove, same goes for clank segment about making clone of himself

Messing around with the psp emulator (ppsspp).  Screens are doubly compressed so it doesn't look nearly as sharp as it does in play.  Not as good as PCSX2 or Dolphin, but very impressive considering it's less than a year old.  Some Capcom game don't have any sound effects (Mega Man Powered Up  :'(), Burnout Legends has no car textures, and a couple games flat out don't work.  UGnG and Crush works perfectly.  Valkyria Chronicles 2 seems fine too.

edit: I loaded an old mid-game save of Kingdom Hearts and it works, unless my memory is off and the game has shadows

The stuff in between fighting in Ninja Storm is awesome. If you dont want that (or any of the awesome QTEs in battle), get Generations. And learn why people thought that game was stink nuggets.

I genuinely love the primitive polygonal art of older games. Things rendered in it often look so abstract, you have to sort of "fill in the rest" with your imagination, just like sprite art.

However, I'm not sure about San Andreas all cleaned up like that. The game was designed using a lot of the PS2's crazy filters and blur, without that it looks so... empty!

Played some Rouge Legacy earlier today. Pretty fun game, more or less what I expected it to be. It's very good about having a lot of short term goals in the upgrade system and it's not too hard to get pretty far each run unless you are stuck with some obviously borked bullshit like your screen turned upside-down.

The traits are cool too, although I seem to be getting a lot of repeats.

30 hours clocked in Resonance of Fate now. Game is hot hot hottttt

I'm progressing the story super slowly as I'm obsessed with experimenting with various character setups in the arena for optimal killing technique. The battle system is just so fun. As a result my chars are overleveled and story missions are a piece of cake, but I'm fine with that as I've earned the stats and sweet weapons.

Currently I'm running:

1. Machinegun/ Ammo case
2. Machinegun/ Grenades
3. Pistol/Pistol (will swap out a pistol for a first aid kit if I'm facing a tough enemy and need healing, or if I'm in a dungeon and want to use an Escape Hex)

Going through RAD again for the first time in years is recoloring my impression of it.  I blocked out how many unskippable cutscene and buying bread with that little girl you do in between all the awesome punching mechs through buildings gameplay.  But gosh the mech stuff is still brilliant.  Rocket uppercutting a bad robot through a giant tower is the best.

I wish Sandlot would make another one.  I think it's just about the only game that could be cool on the Wii U so you could have the tablet be the in-game remote control.  First person robot view on the tablet and the regular view on the TV, plus some Mecha MG style levers and knobs on there.

yeah, that's what I meant by Mecha MG.  It's pretty awesome too and one of my favorite DS games, but it doesn't have the sense of scale and weight that makes RAD so great.  You're almost always looking up at the two robots fighting.  Man, Oculus Rift RAD would also be amazing/terrifying.

Rogue Legacy

i finished it,it was an okay game,it kinda get the fun bit of a metroidvania in the 2D sidescroller where you dick around in a bunch of rooms in a sidescroller enviroment but it doesn't really play like one, well okay it controls like metroidvania and it's in a big-ass castle with multiple room but since the castle is redone everytime you die so there is no "go back to previous zone now that you got this special power" or any drop to find or secrets stuff... heck in fact i'd say the biggest problem of the game is that it's somewhat barebone... there are 4 zone and while the game introduce a few new enemies in the 3rd/4th zone expect to see the same skeletons, ghost and armor knight in different shape and colors trough all the game

the game might have rogue in the title but as a rogue it sucks donkey balls, there are no item to use,no special effect beside regeneration upon killing enemies,no traps of any sort, the enemy are always the same and none of them has any special trick or fuckery to it,you won't get paralyzed, sleeped, drained or tampered with... i think the trait were introduced because rogue = random so the game desperately needed something random in it but even if a few of them have gameplay consequence (there is one that make you big making you a bigger target but at the same time making your sword bigger, one which make you smaller, another one swap your HP and MP,one makes it so that if you turn around while swinging your sword, your sword turns with you making hit & run tactic harder to use) a lot of them are there just for stupid gimmick sake (there is one that makes the screen black & white, one gives it a sepia tone, one make you fart everytime you jump, oen mkaes teh txet lal srcabmld, one turns your screen upside-down) and it's pretty rare to pick a hero based on his trait

the biggest draw of the game is that it's quite hard,as i said you die pretty quickly and it's quite satysfing to see all the upgrade you bought get put to some use, there is a class system and a lot of the classes trade their defense for something else, some class makes that worth (the ninja trades it for a sizeable boost in attack and the spelunker for a boost in gained gold) and a lot other do not (the assassin trade that for the ability to score critical which almost never matter, the wizard trade that for the ability to get MP refill out of dead enemies and more powerfull secondary weapon :derp) so there isn't much use of the class system as you are forced to stick to the few classes that can take a beating (or make not taking a beating worth it) and ignore the rest

it took me around 11 hours to finish it,after clearing the game
spoiler (click to show/hide)
there is a new game+ mode where you keep all your upgrade but the enemy get a SIZEABLE boost,in fact all of the guys from the first zone get upgraded to their version of the last/4th zone... the catch is that you gain double the gold, apparently after finishing the game once again there is a new game++ but i haven't seen it and i probably will not

EDIT: a guy on something awful is on new game+ 11 he says enemies hit so hard the only viable classes are the barbarian (tank) and the assassin (has a skill that makes you invincible which i guess become really abusable once buying all the MP upgrade) apparently on new game+ 2 every enemy get replaced by it's miniboss equivalent :lol

i like the game because it controls nicely,is decently paced (a run takes like 5-15 minutes so it never feel you are dragging around with nothing happening) and plays to my gamer pride (MUST BEAT IT) but it could have been a lot better if they had more variety in monster/area and/or played the rogue spin better than "we made the castle layout random each time you play! and sometimes your character fart!"

apparently the game was spotted on the humble bundle site so if you guys want to get it you are probably better off waiting :lol
