If anybody wants to bitch at a large corporation or agency, let me know. I'll take one for the team today.
USPS fucked up our change of address and started sending us my father-in-law's mail. Then SSA actually changed his address in their system based on a totally different name having their mail forwarded from that address. Spent 1/2 hour on the phone with SSA. Long story short, I politely told the rude woman, "Thank god Social Security will run out of money before I ever have to deal with the SSA personally," and said good-bye.
Then I tried calling the USPS, but they had closed 10 minutes beforehand. So I sent them an email instead, politely explaining how they fucked up and asking if I will even be able to fix it, or if my husband will have to, or my father-in-law.
So then I remember my boss telling me how he started e-mailing fast food restaurants to complain, although politely, about food. He had called once and all that was said was, "Thank you for your suggestion!" but when he e-mails, he actually gets a response to the issue. So I e-mailed KFC and told them how they forgot a bunch of sides for our order last Saturday. The receipt was correct & it was straight off the menu, but when we carted all the shit home, we discovered the massacre that was our order.
If I can deal with customers calling to complain , then KFC's customer service dept can deal with an e-mail with a legit complaint.
Anybody ever e-mail their complaints? Does it get the point across at the very least/coupons & free food at the most? It's more of an experiment than anything else. I've never called/e-mailed anywhere to complain. I mean, it's fast food, you expect that it's going to be fucked up.
