You should be backing that shit up somewhere.  I just push everything out to an external harddrive every couple weeks, which I think is sufficient enough provided my apartment building doesn't explode, and another HDD at my parent's house with everything I'd backed up from last year.  

If I ever lost my music collection, I wouldn't even know what to do with myself.  It'd be like my equivalent of someone's house getting blown over in a hurricane.  I'd probably just move to China or something and live in a gutter.

So anyway, in my job, we do work for external clients. As such, we get paid by the amount of work we do (as a business, not individually, or else this post would be really scary) and the goal of course is to have a high number of billable hours. In a 40 hour work week, for example, the idea is to be able to bill 30 hours to external clients.
