I watched CLOSE, the new Naomi Rapace actioner.

It starts off pretty good, and Rapace is good throughout, but halfway through it starts to get dumb and then gets more dumb, and never really recovers. By the end some of it is so stupid that I found myself laughing out loud.  The stupidity starts with a very awkwardly introduced financial dealing that was clearly written by somebody that has very little idea of how large corporations handle PR, and finally ends up with an ambulance treating to women who are not injured while ignoring Someone who is literally dealing with a bullet wound.

Id say, unless youre a huge Noomi fan, give it a pass and watch GwtDT again.

Brain-picturing Val Kilmer as Morpheus, and heck yeah it would've been AWESOME.

The final "Oh man..." got me.
It certainly would've had a very different tone.

As Val Kilmer's stand-in, I agree 100%.

So wait, I'd never looked into the DC shows before but the Doom Patrol trailer and reviews seemed interesting so I thought maybe I'd check out ep1 and figured it'd be on Netflix or Hulu. So DC has their own streaming channel and that's the only place you can watch these DC tv shows on now? Wtf, the world needs to stop making more separate streaming channels. I ain't paying $8/month for some DC channel that has like 3 shows.

Looks real cool though, animatrix was better than the movies in many ways.

They waited a little too long to jump on the Five Nights at Freddy's bandwagon, but okay.
