Going back through GTA Chinatown Wars and still amazed at how much they fit on here. Also curious what they'll do to port it to PSP and actually take advantage of the graphics, adapt to different controls, screen real estate, sound, etc.

Picked up Daxter and Rockband Unplugged for PSP during my trip, and am really excited to try them both.

Thought I'd try and knock off the Lost and the Dead DLC before going on to the stack of waiting games, only to find my disc has a damned radial crack from the hub outward, about 1/3 of the way across the disc. No-read, "disc is dirty" immediately when I try to copy it to the HHD, I am hosed.

The crack is a problem with the media or my 360's optical drive mount, because the disc is otherwise pristine. Anyone know if Rockstar replaces discs?

I've realized that the only games Nintendo is releasing for the rest of the year is that Metroid Prime collection, the Wiifit expansion pack and NSMB Wii. That's pretty sad. And the only noteworthy 3rd party games are the Rabbids game, the Dead Space spin-off and the new Crystal Chronicles...maybe. Wii 09's lineup is actually going to end up worse the 2008's abysmal lineup.

I agree, Nintendo is just coasting at this point. They know that Wii Fit and Mario Kart will sell at least 100,000 copies a month each. No need for them to really try anymore with this system. I'm impressed they are even bothering with making Galaxy 2.

NSMB Wii looks painfully unambitious but it will sell a ton nonetheless. Once Galaxy 2 comes out, I'll probably re-Wii.

Infamous was never destined to be huge anyway. Just another title put up on the pedestal by Sony fans in hopes that for whatever reason, the 360 sales will grind to a total halt.

Fortunately most Sony fans have all but forgotten the game and are focusing on the Slim and/or price drop, if that thing is actually being made and released here in a few weeks. The GAF thread has built up many delusions and if this game conference doesn't deliver, that will probably push a few people over the edge of sanity.

Although at $299, PS3 is getting to be more in a price range I wouldn't mind checking out. Its software isn't that compelling so the primary use would be Blurays. My price point is $50 more than a cost of a decent Bluray player, $100 more if they add in PS2 BC.

I don't recall Infamous having had any system seller hype going for it, not before and certainly not after Killzone 2 failed to light up the charts. Great game for sure, but I'm pretty sure the sales predictions for Infamous were quite cautious. It's a shame that it's being outsold by the genuinely shitty Prototype, but that's not surprising either.

As for the PS3, my biggest concern is that the software end will tank alongside the hardware business if things continue like this. Also, I'm expecting ambition to be tempered quite a bit, and I wonder what the support for games like MAG will look like if it fails to capture a large audience right away.

Infamous sold pretty damn good. It's one of the only "PS3 Exclusives" to be in the top 10 two months in a row. It's done around 400k in the US alone, probably another 400-500 worldwide. It's probably even outsold some of Insomniac and Naughty Dogs PS3 games in places. A big win for Sucker Punch.

Note the extensive of "probably", which also means you have no idea if you're right or not.

It had a decent showing in the US and was definitely less of a sales disappointment than a lot of other more hyped Sony titles, but we have absolutely no idea how the game did anywhere else. It's not even out in Japan.

We may not have straight numbers, but there's better chart placement data available for "PAL" regions than there is for the US. I haven't seen those charts in a while so I don't know how well Infamous did, but I don't understand how you can say that we have no idea how it did elsewhere.

Thanks, that's not a bad idea. But I'm seeing just over US$100 for the internal BD player, and guessing 60+ for the case, and "just under 200" for a partial solution, or 400 (or less if price drop rumors are correct) for a full solution and another game system, and another option for streaming media from my media server or Mac sounds more attractive.

You can pick up some great decks for $150 - $180. I bought a $98 Magnavox for my room and save for the lack of BD Live and longer loading, it's been rock solid.

it's not just the Joker stuff, most of the advertising for the game makes it seem like a PS3 game. Like, on Gametrailers, videos now show the Joker trailer and make it seem like a PS3 exclusive game. It will most likely end up selling more on the 360, since Ass.Creed was kinda the same way.
