Finally got around to installing American Truck Simulator and drove from LA to San Diego since being an hour south of LA I'm incredibly familiar with LA->SD strip of freeways.
Really disappointed!!! Like...what's in the game is absolutely nothing like the real world

It's not even a sense of scale, or the fact that everything between LA and San Deigo (aka where I live) is completely missing and just a strip of freeway with some hotels for 10 mins between the two. But freeways weren't even anything like they are. There's all these plants and stuff and it looks like somewhere in Kansas or something. And then Los Angeles city and San Diego city are like...4 streets.
Uh, yeah. I like this series, but I actually thought they were somewhat authentic like Flight Simulator at mapping out real world geography to drive along. I thought since the graphics were fairly primitive they could put large landmasses and roads based on google maps and real world roads. But if European Truck Simulator is anything like American Truck Simulator, it's totally bogus. It's like a fantasy game world that has a few things styled off the real world. I mean GTAV is 100x more accurate LA area than this.
I didn't expect exact 1:1 of where I lived in California, but I didn't expect something that's nothing like it either. :|
