That walking animation  :'(

Like for a game where you are spending most of the time watching the character walk, you'd think they'd spend a little more time on the animation for that.

I wonder if I'd noticed how bad and awkward it is without you mentioning it.

First game was pretty good. LOL @ the "plot" tho. :lol The game's been out for a while in Japan, so it's just unfortunate timing. Or fortunate timing. 👀

Found out about the Disgaea 4 PC port via the X-box Game Pass being advertised on Discord: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1233880/Disgaea_4_Complete/

Leaves only Disgaea 3 on consoles that hasn't came over yet. (Oh and the Prinny's and Disgaea Infinite/interactive novella)

Yeah, I played the demo for that. Enjoyed it. If you're looking for a new Phoenix Wright/Dangan Roppa detective animu VN game seems like it'd be satisfying.

Parked in the Dark is an pickup-and-play arcade style game with light and comical horror themes. Pick up clues to find your car in a deserted car park as the clock is ticking.

So Steins;Gate 0 keeps going on sale for $14 but it never goes on sale on Switch and it's $30 there. I only really get through VN's portable since they're basically books. I thought about this and realized maybe I could stream the PC version onto an ipad to get around this. So I've been messing around with steam link. Surprised I never tried this before.

It's not great, the resolution doesn't match with my tablet and so it's not full screen and I find it annoying having the little cursor buttons on the outside edges, but otherwise it seems pretty doable for getting cheap PC VNs and playing them portable.

I used to use my laptop for portable VNs but it's old and in the closet now, so hopefully this works as well. Otherwise might have to dust it off to get my $14 worth out of Steins;Gate 0.

Resolution might be network speed.

You should be able to pinch and pull to zoom the game in if you need that.

Not enough games have cool destruction anymore. I remember that was a big thing devs would go for during the PS2/PS3/X60 era, bigger and more destructive environment.

Red Faction Armageddon felt like the pinnacle of that.

Then devs just kinda gave up on pursuing that direction. Wish more stuff had freeform destructible environments again.

Hey Toku:

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'll probably give it a round and then delete it again because it's team-based and has (had?) no solo mode like PUBG did to where I could camp on the far side of the map and top-three consistently.

Read the Apex community has been severely disappointed in the new season's grind for XP and whatnot. Supposedly would require something like 3-4x the play time to gain the same amount as the prior season. Steam was bombarded with criticism from long time players. Then the devs announced they were reverting to a less aggressive system (half the time to gain the same, which some were still critical of).

EA pushing them in that direction I suppose?
