making sense of almost any decision Sega makes is kinda nutty.
If we're looking for a logical reason, PS3 sales are way up worldwide due the slim, maybe they feel a high-review scoring game (like Valkryia) can be a modest success, especially if there's already a proven (although probably very tiny) fanbase to support it.
Maybe they've got Yakuza 4 coming down the pike and they don't want to leave money on the table.
Maybe they're rededicating themselves to quality to help atone for all those shitty games they have been pushing out in recent years.
I dunno, I don't care so much. As long as I gets me some Yakuza 3 (Kenzen and 4 if I'm really lucky) then I'm cool with whatever rationale provided it.
