Started (re-)watching Agents of Shield again, after dropping off at season 3.  Forgot how great this show was.

Yup. Like it’s someone else in his skin. I’m sure there are surgeries for it. I feel bad for the guy.

Yeah, I normally have no problem shitting on peoples’ appearances, but I like Jonah. He looked great when he lost all the weight the first time, but I’m guessing you can only yo-yo so much before your skin gives out. Good on him for losing it again, though.

I think that's the point. It actually comes up during one of the interviews.
"And what does he do?"
"Well, he's my sidekick"

*silence*

Probably some meta joke about how sidekicks in comedy or talk shows barely do anything.
Conan also has a guy that basically 'just sits there'.

In the M Night one Adam gets to ask some questions though. And further in the season he seems to be interacting a bit more with the guests.

Norm's just so random though, everyone in the studio gets thrown off by him and his silly jokes all the time.  :doge

If people haven't seen it, this sums it up pretty well
Quote
This isn’t to say the show is bad. In fact, it is oddly compelling. Though it is completely off the rails, there is structure to it. Norm, Adam, and the guest stroll out, with the latter not being sure if the show has begun. A talk show kind of unfurls and Norm taking breaks that don’t exist, which the guest isn’t totally sure about. In episode one, David Spade – perhaps in on the joke but perhaps not – continually grows angry with not knowing whether or not parts are being filmed. Interruptions, cut to Adam for something inane, interruptions, etc. Everyone reads prepared jokes that are normally awful. Then Norm and Adam sing at the end because of course they do.

It has a 9.1 on IMDB and a Tomato Audience score of 93%.
The critics hate it though. :lol

I also want Alyssa Edwards to give me a good dickin’. I dug the first episode of her show, but Alyssa herself is the best thing about it, so I hope the rest of it doesn’t focus on the dance school too much. The dance school stuff just feels like generic reality TV.

i think you're right, i just saw the chevy chase ep and they really play up the whole "you don't get to talk adam you're just a sidekick". but yeah, other than that, i totally agree with you and think he's a great interviewer and has an interesting selection of guests. probably also helps that the guests aren't on there to promote some upcoming thing so they just shoot the shit with norm, wish each ep was longer than 30 minutes though

ppl finished defenders?

I did, but I barely remember how it ended. Really frustrating to go from Iron Fist's savage mediocrity to Defenders' almost-but-not-quite-getting it.

So far Daredevil s1 and both Jessica Jones are the ones I've liked. Need to try Luke Cage and Punisher again.

In almost half of the eps his guests want to walk out early and one actually does. So I'm not sure if Norm could drag it out any longer.   :lol

Breh how can you forget that they revealed what was in the GIANT HOLE being DUG BY NINJAS from Caredevil. :lol

I'm coming around to the position that Iron Bro Fist is savagely mediocre as a takedown of the unremarkable privileged white man. e.g. I'm watching an episode from season 2 right now where Danny and Ward think arranging a dinner party will resolve a huge conflict between characters. Everyone pretends to be polite even though they hate each other until it goes tits up too, a terminal cactivity if ever there was one.

Great watch. Less controversial than his other 'recent' work though.
I'm surprised at how interesting the guests were even though I didn't know some of them that well.

I guess Netflix wouldn't like running 9/11 and Holocaust gags.  :lol
