And the Rabbit is so obviously one of the N Sync dudes and that Pineapple was so obviously Tommy Chong I didn't feel like even mentioning them lol

edit: And specifically Joey Fatone, he was in Rent.

edit2: And yeah you and your wife are totally right about Tori Spelling.. all the clues fit and her nickname is "bird".. and.. she is desperate for any airtime she can get lol.  Everyone on this show is going to be B-grade celeb.

The Magicians was on USA Netflix, so I downloaded a bunch of it and enjoyed the first half-dozen episodes. It's like Hogwarts except everyone is a little bit Slytherin, and lots of the students are letting it slither in. It's got a strong Narnia analog going, something like Philip Jose Farmer's A Barnstormer in Oz, by dragging a children-focused work into an adult scenario. It's fun, but I think I'll wait until it shows up for free here.

Actually the clues perfectly point to Janet Jackson;  didn't think it was her because she looked too... large.. in recent pictures, but the show was filmed last June or so and she was fit for a tour.

Animation has been shaky for the three done by DR Movie, but the first six eps of Young Justice S3 have been great overall.

Nice return of focus back to Team's original members as the Outsiders come into play.

Watching season 3 of The Man in the High Castle.

Again a TV show that is way past the original premise and just keeps going but I like the nonsense alternative history for some reason.  :thinking

Finally watching Season 2 of Dream Corp LLC (produced by Jim Krasinski) and my opinion is still the same: this is among the greatest TV shows ever created. It's already an Adult Swim classic for me. The juxtaposition of people having emotional breakthroughs in an absurd setting, the wacky premise (that all cutting edge technology has an initial "sketchy" period for early adopters), the unique cast of lunatics running a medical facility, it's just such a winning formula for me. Closest thing I could think of (probably because of the rotoscope, sorry) is A Scanner Darkly.

Finished Season 3 of the Man in the High Castle.

After the mediocre Season 2 this sure got things moving again and me excited for Season 4.
They introduced some great new characters.

I do feel that John Smith is actually the main character of this thing now.

Also the actor that plays Himmler really nails the "evil psychopath" performance. That shit is intense.

Been watching the Bodyguard. There's a lot of staring in it. Everybody seems to spend a lot of time staring at walls or out windows and I don't like the main guy's haircut. It's not believable.

True Detective ep3 was fine but being familiar with Saulnier's style the switch from his direction in ep1/2 to someone else was pretty apparent. Felt like it went from stylish to a standard procedural. Which is ok because at this point I'm in it for the story and the main two actors. But still a shame Saulnier had a falling out with pizzaman and couldn't do the whole show Fukunaga style. It would have looked amazing. I think from a cinematography perspective Saulnier's my favorite modern director. He's like Fincher at his prime but with a bit more style even?

I think ep4 is where Pizzaman makes his directorial debut. I'm a little scared  :omg

I'm watching (new teen) (OK, not teen, but very new) TITANS on Netflix and HOLY FUCK, THE DOOM PATROL JUST SHOWED UP. Holy shit.

DC kills it with their TV stuff. Even this dark TITANS interpretation works better than any of the Snyderverse grimdark meathook bullshit.

Why is the King in the North making out with some old hag in the trailers?

Enjoying the hell out of American Gods. I didn't get into it in the first episode, but it has grown on me. Ian McShane isn't the only good actor in it. Gillian Anderson is stunning, Stormare's Czernobog is fabulous, and even the damned leprechaun is growing on me. I've liked Emily Browning since the first Unfortunate Events movie, and she is pushing all my "bad for you woman" buttons.

For all the production problems the show seems to have/had I enjoyed the dream like quality of the first season and I'm looking forward to the second. Great cast as you said, everyone pulling their weight too.

Caught up on Brooklyn 99. One of those shows, like always sunny, that I love having on in the background. There are so many gags that you can tune in and out and find something to laugh about.

Also Santiagos reaction to the microwave was fucking hilarious. They really turned her into a goofball over the course of the seasons in the best way.
