Started watching Nikita, because Maggie Q in lingerie. It's not bad by a longshot. For TV espionage, it's exciting and fun. It's not A-Team levels of cheese, and the exposition is sometimes pretty weak, but the story structure is solid enough and, again, Maggie Q in skimpy clothes.

It's inspired by La Femme Nikita, a Luc Besson movie. The first TV series and American Point of No Return movie were also based on that masterpiece.

Maggie Q's show is not using the fiction from any of them specifically; they're making up a new canon but originating the characters from the same scenario.

the first season was understated and investigation best and i felt that worked for it, but it seems like they are totally trying to ramp this up into something which i don't really enjoy which is a bit of a shame.
