Mass Effect was the same if not more so terrible than Indigo Prophecy

Mass Effect had it's share of problems but in no way shape or form was it in Indigo Prophecy territory.  Plus Mass Effect 1 and 2 is on the PC as well and I'm sure quite a few people around here will be playing it on that.

mass effect 2 will be on ps3 also, but that's beside the point. My point is that how was indigo prophecy terrible except for the story line? it wasn't. Mass Effect overall was pretty terrible.

Are you kidding me?  Almost all of it was a glorified game of Simon.  It started out strong during the first couple of sections but then all hell broke lose and it became nothing but simon says QTE.  It was like an updated version of Dragon's Lair.

Fuck QTEs.

You don't see anyone else complaining about the QTEs?  I'm sorry, but when did you play Indigo Prophecy again because I seem to remember droves of people complaining of just that when it came out.  I don't know what the fuck has happened to people's memories since the announcement of Heavy Rain but the Dragon Lair-esque gameplay was a HUGE issue with IP, not to mention the story.

If we had just one console no one would be saying anything about Heavy Rain, but because it's a great game as determined by journalists, and a system exclusive, the opposite faction will downplay it until it comes out, when they will go "see? it didnt sell anyways. lets go play halo 3 drakes fortune steve dave".

Well when a "game" like MGS4 has an hour and a half cut scene explaining absolutely nothing or something like Shenmue 2 where you have a fucking 3 hour walk in the woods for no reason whatsoever I've got a problem with it.

Feels like shooting fish in a barrel this year, but here are my picks:

Final Fantasy XIII - This is a duh.  It's a Final Fantasy game so no matter what people are going to be twisted in knots about it.
Whatever 5th Cell is making - Another gimme.  These guys are the crown princes of disappointment.
Halo Reach - Microsoft continues to outline how to take one of gaming's most popular franchises and turn it into nothing over the course of a generation.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Not that I mind terribly, but this is going to be a Mission Pack, I'm sure of it, and it's going to pay the price for that.
Metroid: Other M - If this makes it out this year.  I have a feeling Team Ninja isn't worth much without their dear leader and all the guys he took with him, but we shall see.
Mass Effect 2 - Just a hunch on this one. 
Heavy Rain - Looks boring and pretentious.  From a developer whose history contains two ... to be kind, "6/10" games.  About as interested in this as I am in seeing what Sonic Team is up to next.
Castlevania Lord of Shadows: This is going to end up being a so-so God of War wannabe.  There is literally nothing revealed about this game that makes me feel otherwise.
Mega Man 10 - I know I'm excited but I can't help but feel the honeymoon is over with most people.

And before Princess Methodis starts screaming rape, remember, I don't own a 360, haven't had one for two years, have no intentions of buying one again unless they actually fix the hardware, and play my PS3 nearly daily.  You don't have to be a PS3 hata to think Heavy Rain will be crappy, you just have to have a modicum of foresight and taste.
