Basically what I'm really saying is every time I've had an injury I just gear my entire work outs around it for months of like...hyper focused rehab until it's stronger than it was before the injury. And as best I can I just tank through a lot of shit if it isn't serious. Like a dropped plate on my foot (happens many times a week), smashed/cut fingers (happens many times a week), and so on.

You can will yourself to feel less pain. Your mental state plays a huge role on how you handle it. People balk at this or think it's macho bullshit, but it's true.

So, it doesn't surprise me that a systemic approach of engaging in it and confronting it has helped you.

Was raised about as “walk it off” as it gets.

Definitely works, until it doesn’t.  Played high level sports year round but never missed a game due to injury.  That included finishing a soccer season with a badly sprained ankle which did major permanent damage.

Kinda still similar with workout stuff and it drives my wife crazy lol

There's a difference between an injury and momentary "FUCK that hurt"

My backpack broke this morning  :picard

One of the buckles used to tighten one of the straps snapped in half as I was tightening it up. It's been quite an ally to me considering it was an $18 random backpack from Walmart that lasted about 5 months despite me having it stuffed full of nearly double the max weight it was rated for most of that time. :salute

Christmas giftcards have a military grade one rated for up to 145 pounds on the way already :rejoice

I'm sure it will be good for my lower back to go a week without the backpack. Starting this week I've upped the weight on my pull ups from 25 to 45 and started doubling my volume anyway, so by the time I get the new one next week I should be physically pretty good to crush it.

Been doing targeted glute work and my Deadlift has been skyrocketing. My grip is much stronger too from doing farmers walks and fat grip work.

I'm still having issues with my squat though. It feels like I've found my position, mechanically, for the deadlift but the squat still illudes me.

Did triple my volume today :lol

I feel like I'm cheating without all the extra weight

FYI if you want your traps and delts do be pumped to the gills, do 300 push ups and 150 pull ups in 2 hours. Never mind the carrying shit for about 6 miles worth distance in between.  :lawd

despite bruising the back of my neck somehow, managed to keep training and progressing on deadlifts and front squats. Got 175 3x3 on FS earlier this week, which is a 3 rep pr and 310 3x3 on deads, which is also a 3 rep PR.

Lost 10 pounds last month.  Still need to do 10 more to lose last years depression gains.  And then 10-20 more after to be in an actual healthy range.

New backpack came 5 days early. Will get to break it on on my birthday  :lawd

It's of a significantly higher quality and durability, fits like a backpack you'd actually be carrying heavy shit in, more straps and buckles than a Kingdom Hearts character. :lawd :rejoice

Gonna be a real treat to use it tomorrow morning.

Went 9 days straight tripling the amount of sets, combined last night with a horrible night of sleep, it's like a whole month's worth of working out has hit me all at once. Can barley move today. :stahp
