Madcatz pad is pretty good once you get used to it.  I know you got one already for the PS3 but supposedly the 360 pad works a little better due to it being wired.

eh, at some point I think all these SNK XBLA fighters will come to PSN.  It'd be stupid not too, especially in Japan where PS3 dominates between the two.  All they have to do is quickly port it and rake in money.

I'm sure MS has these locked up exclusive for a certain amount of time, but eventually they'll all come to PS3.  Maybe on a disc as a collection or something.

It's exactly that from what I have read.  An exclusivity deal that will not be expiring any time soon.  Some of these SNK games have been on XBLA for a couple of years now. 

It'd be stupid to not make use of your arcade stick and get used to playing SNK games with it.

Forget about player matches, and host your own matches in ranked...don't search for them.

You gotta get out of the Capcom mindset.  The way normals/specials/supers counter each other is different.  Make sure you make use of the guard front step move; it goes through attacks/projectiles and can be crucial in setting up big combos/getting out of traps.  So many players never use it online.  Throws, too.  Also who are you using?  Remember that this game's top tiers are Mr. Big, Kim, and Hotaru.  You may want to try putting one of them on your team to start out with a bit of a "boost."

I've been doing very well with Mr. Big and King Lion.  The latter has a counter move that comes in amazingly handy in this game.  I just played a guy ranked #53 in the game (I'm #136).  He picked Iori and Kyo and pretty much thrashed me the first time; I fucked up and didn't switch out Mr. Big in time, and then he killed my Lion before I had a chance to do much.  The guy was a total rushdown player.  He joined the next game I hosted, and this time I started with King Lion, and just countered EVERY FUCKING THING HE DID.     I killed his Kyo and then he got much more intense with Iori, but I was able to keep him away and when he did find an opening, the time was over.

Why is it that I always get the distinguished mentally-challenged fellows in these games?  Had a few games with a Mexican player.  Beat him 2-1.  Decided that was enough (this was ranked); was tired of Iori, Ryo, and Mr. Big spam, and wanted to play other people.  So the guy joins again.  I kick him.  A few others join, I kick them too (bad ping).  Every time there is an open spot, this guy joins again, and I kick him.  He's obviously doing it on purpose at this point.  He then joins and plugs in a mic, and proceeds to laugh like crazy for a few minutes. 

EDIT: He's back...again!  Same stupid laughter too.
