the game is HOT HOT HOT. I was home sick yesterday and the speed was doing my head in! Could only handle 1/2 an hour lol. Gonna thrash it HARD tonight. Easy cheevs but if you want the Gold Helmet for your avatar you have to be the man. I'll give score attack a whirl and try and get a top 1000 ranking hopefully. I at least want to be at the top of my friends leaderboard.

Leaderboards aren't too stiff so far. Apart from 1 dude with over 2 mil everyone else in the top k is in the low to mid 1000000 mark. I'm at 1008 with 728580 and I've only played through score attack twice so far. That helmet for getting all score attack medals is a pretty hardcore challenge, don't really see myself making it for a while.

edit: 'clear the game without being shot down'

yeah I'll never be getting that helmet.

Just move your reticule over enemies to target them, then fire missles/shoot them down. Climax mode slows everything down so you can rack up a huge combo or target a specific enemy pretty easily. That's all there is to it.

But after coming back to SC after about 6 months I have no fucking idea where to go and literally fucked around for an hour trying to exit this one part of the complex with no success, so I rage deleted it and downloaded this fucking awesome game in its place. 33% downloaded now

This game really gets it right. You take a short 10-60 min fun arcade game and you make it so each time you play you unlock new things that make the same core game more fun. Bam, you have console replayability.

Uh, Virtual On? Outrun Online? All of Sega's updated ports have been great so far. I'd say Virtual On is my favorite. Best unconventional 3D "fighter" ever.
