i never understand why people complain about grinding in disgaea,watching your character grow is what the whole fun part in an rpg entail and disgaea is awesome because your character grow pretty quickly

in fact they grow so quickly it takes nothing to create a semi-god that let you solo all the main content,you only really need to abuse the system when it comes to fightining the super hidden level 4000 boss,you just need to do it right and focus on getting exp multiplier and other thing's that give you bonus stat's

I never really got that far into the games, but isn't Disgaea more of a case of finding ways to break the systems and OP your character into oblivion, instead of just brute-force repetitive grinding?

Naw. At the time people bought disgaea because unwavering reviews, the very u ique taken on srpgs, and the comedy. "Loli" wasn't even a thing back then I don't think. If it was I wasn't exposed to it. I just thought disgaea was an addictive and hilarious though flawed srpg. Still want to play Disgaea 2 sometime. Should get for psp eventually when I'm Feeling thirsty for a new srpg.

i had a week or two period where I cracked out on Disgaea PSP.  I don't think I got anywhere in the game despite playing it a shitload.  I don't think I've beaten or gotten far in a single SRPG.  Every time I start FFT, I end up giving it up quickly...maybe it's the character management.

A PSP with Disgaea is a Skinner box in its purest, most distilled form. I had to delete the game and all my save files because it was bringing out OCD I never knew I had.

So i just finished Alpha Protocol. I really really liked it, although the end was anticlimactic and made the typical mistake of turning into gears of war on me. Why does every stealth game feel the need to do this? Never go full action, devs . A sequel to this game would be amazing. I at least hope someone steals the dialogue system so the dumb ass morality meter in every game goes away.

Yeah the last level of AP blows, I agree.

The game really benefits from replays, as choices you make can drastically alter the story, outcomes, and the final act can be quite varied depending on what choices you made. the game has the finest morality/choice system I've ever seen in a game. A sequel would be amazing, but sadly isn't going to happen. Too many morans panned the game for unknown reasons. I mean yeah it's janky and unpolished. But what it does well, it does better than most other games. It pisses all over Mass Effect 2 & 3

The new NFS Most Wanted DLC isn't bad. I like the airport section, and some of the new cars are awesome, like the production version of the Porsche 918, and a Dodge Charger taken straight from The Fast and the Furious.

Deus Ex Human Defiance was trade marked by Square Enix

It could be a sequel, the rumored Wii U port, or nothing.  Or a remake of the first game since it'll be DX:HD, using DS game naming circa 2005.

DXHR is one of my favorite games and a next gen sequel would be the best.  Eidos Montreal is supposed to be large but the next rumored project is Thief 4 and I don't think that's been announced yet.  Assuming (and hoping) Thief 4 will be cross-gen this year or next, and this new Deus Ex is next gen 2014 or 2015.  Hard to say since Square-Enix/Eidos announces its games a good while before release.

I really hope it's a sequel. I also hope that Thief 4 is real and it's going to come out before too long.

yeah, I think I'd rather have Thief 4 come out sooner than another Deus Ex.  Mainly I want Deus Ex to be next gen game, more for scale than looks.  I want huge, complex, and detailed levels.  Human Revolution wasn't nearly as cramped as Invisible War, but it was smaller than the first game.

It isn't a remake. Also they have a two game ports to be considered a collection rule in order to do X they had to do X-2. Honestly SE should have just added XII after that and consider it done but they have to be sluts. More than likely an FFXII hd will cone with Tactics Ogre and/or FFT: WOTL.

Same. When I played Disgaea the only anime I was exposed to was toonami/adult swim stuff.

I never even bothered grinding for the high level stuff. I just played through the story. Only other game I picked up in the series was Makai Kingdom which I did a quite a bit of leveling in

Relative to other games, seeing Scud Racing in an arcade on holiday (all arcades were 18+ where I'm from) was probably the most impressive graphics experience I've ever had. It just blew away everything else at the time.

They're great although very similar to each other. Playing one of them might be enough. It's a hybrid between your standard SRPG (Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea) and classic Megami Tensei. You have similar combat and demon fusion systems as in most other SMT games.

They can be ridiculously difficult if you grow your character and monsters incorrect. The Overlocked version fixed this to a certain degree, as well as adding an easy mode (basically double XP).

the Taco Bell game ought to be a Bore favourite.

In order to defeat the monsters, you squirt them with packets of Taco Bell hot sauce (also found on the ground) that burn them alive, reducing them to piles of smoldering ash. Essentially, you use one of the very products the game is supposed to be advertising to immolate godless creatures in the suffocating darkness of an ancient crypt.
