So far it's been a mad scramble to find gerbils to cook so he doesn't starve to death.

It actually looks pretty interesting. Exploring the dust area can be pretty dangerous when all you have is a shitty spear and low level bow.

"My Summer Car has excellent patch notes. Here are some examples:

Player can now drown when too drunk
Adjusted targeting of piss
Sleeping with cigarette can start a fire
You can now drink from jail cell WC bowl
Added moped (do not try to drive moped inside another vehicle, YOU WILL DIE)"

It's honestly the most realistic Finnish Countryside Simulator on the market. Building your own car is also insanely in-depth for what is pretty much a shitpost disguised as a game. Had to get my dad to help me build the car since I can barely drive a car and he's an amateur mechanic.

It was my Game of the Year in 2016 and it has been expanded a lot since then.

^ This dev commentary with the amazing Finnish accent is great.

Edit: The dude also made this music video. So he's great in my book.

Ultima 7 is considered to be the best of the series, I believe. You might also try 8, as well. 9 is pretty garbo, and 6 and earlier are pretty dated now.

it's the crazy Cthulhu stuff and monster designs by Masahiro Ito (Silent Hill). Once you get past the tutorial and explore the map, there are huge kaiju sized monsters roaming around. Apparently there are also different boss monsters in the post-game.

Isn't it just a tower defense game? Build fences and turrets and mechs and defend your base?
So about the bolded, does that mean you have to TD against enemies like that?

I hate TD so haven't really cared about this one.

The single player is more about survival, managing your food and water and trying to explore the world on limited oxygen. Most of the overworld is covered dust which limits how long you can stay out exploring. It has some State of Decay type base building type stuff and you'll find survivors out in the overworld to rescue and bring back. You can assign those people to different teams (just like MGSV) and it increases the effectiveness of your farms, exploration team, medical, etc.

The 4 player co-op is tower defense/horde mode. Your single player character and gear is what you're taking into the MP horde mode. Any blueprints and rewards you get in MP are taken back with you to use in single player. It seems like it is worth it to jump back and forth between single and multi occasionally for gear and resources.

I'm weirdly fascinated by this game especially the horror aspects. It's probably going to bomb and get horrible reviews but it has some interesting pieces and controls well (from what I played of the beta).

And they were excellent too; Gunvalkyrie, JSRF, PD Orta, OutRun 2... I wanted to keep my OG xbox solely for those games alone... Said xbox was the only xbox I ever enjoyed... I don't see that magic happening again though. Sega's been talking so much about a renaissance of sorts, but I have yet to see shit.

Haven't watched the video but saw the observation posted originally on twitter earlier in the week. The 'KJP FOREVER' is definitely originally from the MSF members you rescue in MGSV, making up the first letters of their code names (when read in reverse order; here seen in opposite order reading from top to bottom). I'd say it's something they managed to slip through in Survive. As for the rest it's up to interpretation if it's a jab at the producers or not.
