So turns out the black levels just kinda suck on IPS monitor, but apparently putting a $10 LED light behind it for bias lighting tricks your eyes into giving deeper/better blacks? So ordered a set of those and will check it out. I'm so used to good deep black level on all my devices/tvs that the lighter grey look is weirding me out.

That's why I went with a VA panel for mine, but the trade-off is slow pixel response on certain shades, leading to noticeable trailing. It's most obvious in a browser, funnily enough.

Can't have it all with current monitor technologies.

It's the kind of game you know you'd be into based on how you feel on the premise... like, playing as a goose and pissing people off is immediately appealing to me, there's a pro-Aboriginal message in the credits, the flat shaded graphics work well, and the game doesn't overstay its welcome. But if I have complaints it would be that some objectives have vague solutions, and others require waiting a bit too long for the right moment in the NPC routine. Also the random piano notes for the soundtrack doesn't fit, I feel something Benny Hill esque would've been better.

Meh, does it really matter when games come out? I get story games where the last one left you hanging and you want to know what happens next, but otherwise it’s like there’s way too many good games to play already. Games can take whatever time they need.

Division 2 was really fun for me, until the gear score shit (though i guess that's more of a fault of the GaaS genre), certainly better than 1.
Breakpoint looked and played like a broken version of Wildlands, so i don't know what the fuck they were expecting.

Anyway, this is a good thing, Legion has a lot of potential, and it'd be a shame to fuck it up because they want to just ship it out broken.

In general, it seems like after Assassin's Creed Unity's flop, they had learned their lesson, then after the successes following that lesson, they immediately forgot about it, and started shipping broken games again.

People finally got tired of playing the exact same games 5x yearly I guess.

Ubi is probably my least favorite publisher. Everything is just so bland.

FYI: I highly suspect the delays is to try to move to the launch window on the new boxes to get some juice on these games.

Friend at 2K says PC version isn't any worse than the rest sadly. Highly recommends some of the downloadable story or whatever clips people have made full of hilarious bugs. Amazing that even stuff that's been sitting in the game for years and seemingly wasn't touched is massively busted.

I can't remember the year (I think it was the 2011 or 2013 version) but THQ/Yukes changed the weapons physics and it completely borked the game much like this one, actually looks like some of the same bugs. I want to believe this year is so fucked up because Yuke's like....destroyed the source code or some shit and it left VC a year to reverse engineer the entire engine or some shit. Literally all they had to do was just update looks and change the roster and do no other changes. It's not like there weren't MULTIPLE YEARS where they changed absolutely nothing but cosmetic updates and changed the roster. And VC themselves have done that with the NBA series as well, so I have no idea how this game is so broken.
