skyrim looks great, but at this point SR3 may as well be the only game i'm picking up this fall because i know what i'm going to be playing. I have over 90 hours clocked on SR2, I will definitely get some time out of SR3.

I played Morrowind for over 100 hours, Oblivion for at least 150 hours, Fallout 3 for 50 hours, and New Vegas for 75 hours. So...yeah.

atlus announced catherine less than a year ago, and it's already out in japan, coming out in the west in a few weeks.

by all means without playing it,it is hard for me to say this with 100% accuracy but something tells me (mainly my experience in how many times i have seen that 3D fairy model) that a game where you just move a bunch of blocks like a modern q-bert doesn't take the same amount of effort of FF13

like... maybe if it wasn't for the animu cutscenes theatrhythm would probably have a bigger budget

It's hard because conceptually Sonic doesn't work.

You can't have a skill based platformer while you're running at 100mph. If you want the sense of speed and excitement you either leave the real platforming and watch everyone die on every pit because they don't see it coming and then get pissed at the game and suddenly the game is just a big piece of memorization and no fun, or you auto-play it so the game basically plays itself and then it's boring and it's not any fun.

Or you can do a Sonic game without the 100mph running and it can be a real quality platformer, but if you're not going to be running at 100mph why make a Sonic game?

See, it's not Sega's fault. It's just an unworkable concept. Which is why I don't play Sonic games.

related note: the reason I plugged in my wii recently was for Sonic Colors. It's...not so good. It's fun but it doesn't feel as good as Unleashed. It's just more consistently decent, or something.

a sonic game, in 2d or 3d, could be fun if they made a fast-paced twitch game that had you dodging obstacles and bouncing off of chains of enemies, sort of like DK jungle beat but faster. of course no one would play that outside of nerds like us, so sega will keep making shitty kids games because thats what brings in the money
