Spent the evening playing Super Mario Tennis 64 and drinking. Hella fun. Is Mario Tennis for wii as good/good enough? Can you play with controllers or do you have to flail?

mario tennis for wii is just a port of the gamecube one,there is optional flail control but you can play with a normal GC controller too

Mario Tennis Gamecube/Wii is great but it adds power ups and more quirks to the tennis. I've seen people prefer the 64 version because it was more straight up tennis.

yeah. we play the 2v2 100 ring mode when we do get-togethers usually. We also play melee sometimes, never with items.

I think I'll get the gamecube one for cheap. have more gamecubes in my circles and I don't want to encourage people to break out their wiis, as they might be doing worthwhile things like masquerading as door stoppers or something.

Kids are awesome. My son has started playing Lego Star Wars without me (thank god!), and he's automatically searching for all the missing "mini-kits" we have remaining.

64 has always been a mario kart/tennis machine to me. gamecube had more than two games I liked, plus the controller is only slightly horrible so I'd say I like that system more.

The N64 had a lot of great games, not sure why anyone would think otherwise. And certainly not why anyone would put the Wii over it [Galaxy notwithstanding].

practically speaking, i would take the wii over the N64 any day. Not just the wii games, which there are more and better of, but soft modding it gives you access to a bunch of good libraries of games. I'd rather not deal with carts and that fucking controller.

Same here, plus the VC allows you to play all of the worthwhile N64 games in higher res, anyways (except Mischief Makers). I never cared for the N64 at its release and then when I went back to it, I found a lot of the games to be dated.

If I wanna play some N64 games, I just plug an Xbox360 controller into my computer and boot up Project 64. 1680x1050, 16X AA, and anistrophic texture filtering, all at 60 FPS.

It is if you like to replay stages to improve your times and do speed runs (like so). The stages are easy to run through, so they're meant to be replayed and mastered. Sonic is more like a racing games now.

The PC version also looks amazing at 60 fps / 1080p. Probably the best looking PC game I own (not that I have many, just SC2 and a few other old games).

they localized all the previous game of the series,and actualy did it twice as all of them got re-released to psp
if anything it's weird they stopped at all

Wipeout went down $10 to $30, too, which is good, because that's the Vita launch title I want.

Bit of both. You can buy characters using in game currency or real moneys and currency boosts to help buy stat changing runes. Cosmetic skins are 100% pay only, though.

I like the game, but it costs like $300 to buy the entire roster and I can't be convinced to grind 20 hours per character when Dota 2 is staring at me with every character unlocked. $:-\$
