Is Nier any good?

It's pretty ok. The graphics are poor, and some gameplay elements aren't really thought out well. But the soundtrack* is amazing. And the story is interesting, too. I also like the setting.
I'm almost 4 hours in and am quite enjoying the game so far.

*I usually don't like vocals in game OSTs. But this game has some great vocal tracks.

I guess, but why would anyone want to play that over the PC version which has all the same stuff + more.
And for a community-based online game, you know it's going to be a pain in the ass due to nintendo's stance with online gaming.
I tried out Made in Wario the other day and while the concept is genius (mini-game creator with sharing), it's a total failure because unless you add specific friends and get them to send to you, all you get is the dozen or so 30 second games that Nintendo official provides and that's really not much.  Especially since the best games will be done by players over time.

Ubi's DRM has already been cracked.  Even Splinter Cell was cracked less than a day or so after it was released.

I think I tried the demo and it was fun but not that great.  Playing the full game, the first two sets of stages are really easy and I'm still not hooked.  Getting to normal is when the game starts to get like "did I spend 20 minutes trying to get gold on that one course? I still don't have it! I'm gonna keep trying until I do"

I bought it at Xmas for full price and felt bad for not getting it in June. Stupid PC version clouded my judgement

I bought it full price at release too, simply because I used to love the inspiration for the game as a kid (a 2d stick figure sidescrolling motocross game on Apple II or commodore or something). Turned out the game was fucking rad but I find some levels later in the game nigh on impossible and I haven't actually fired up this game since rage quitting a couple times. I never rage quit games. Trials HD was a first.

These posts reminded me I should go back and see if I was just approaching these levels in the wrong way or with the wrong bike.

Zeno Clash Ultimate and Raystorm HD, both @ 1200pts. I might get Zeno Clash at some point.

Zombie Apocalypse on sale for 400. Might get the trial.

Game room pack is *supposed* to be out also.

Definitely getting Raystorm tomorrow. Going to pick up Zeno Clash some day too but I'm in no rush. If it were 800 pts I'd buy it right away.

How is RayStorm? Looks kinda slow and easy based on the trailer. If it's good, I'll get it if it appears on amazon so I can use my $10 credit. I'm not spending $15 on it.

I just find it hilarious how they say 25% longer than CoO.  I agree that CoO was great and I still think it has the best weapon in a GoW game (that giant fist).  But honestly, if Ready at Dawn was back to making PSP games I would have liked another Daxter.  The latest Jak game for the PSP was total crap.

the only bad part is that of all the devs that Sony gets to work on the PSP, Ready at Dawn is the only one who doesn't do a PS2 port.  Even the Syphon Filter game from 2007 is just now getting a PS2 port yet Daxter and CoO remain PSP only.

Only ever bought 1 arcade game, never got into them I prefer playing proper games, not crap ones which take sooo much space on the annoyingly small hard drive. Damn you to hell Lost and the Damned why do you take up so much.

Posts like this make me want to punch my monitor. Likes playing "proper" games! Not crap ones! Never mind the fact the Bionic Commando Rearmed, SotN, Mega Man 10, and many more, have more challenge and playabilty than most retail games. Guess he wants to keep playing "proper" games like Open Season, and Cars.

yeah the guides are generally pretty sweet and its the best cheevo poppin resource on the web. They post a lot of news there on upcoming XBL content which is top info that I like to read, and then I always start reading the comments.... bad idea  :'(

Cool little flash game I found - called "Synopsis Quest", basically sort of like Half Minute Hero where you do little tasks in a DQ style adventure. There are a few 'puzzles' and tricks to it... not a bad way to waste 5 min.

Great music, too... very reminiscent of Famicom DQ chiptunes.
