I've been watching Giant Bomb's catalog of Game Room quick looks over the last couple days... Man, what a disaster. That thing could have been awesome, but most of the games they put out are atrocious. It's like 95% of the good games on the service are from Konami.

Also, they should make a new Pokemon Snap. That was the only good console Pokemon game ever.

You're probably going to lose your locked saves (Demon's Souls for example) if you send it to Sony. If you want to keep those saves and have your exact model (and the disc that's in the drive) returned, you should probably get it done by a specialty shop. I have a friend who sent his PS3 to this place to get repaired and it worked out well for him: http://www.gophermods.com/

A lot of people liked Daxter PSP but I couldn't get into it.

If they ever did a PS3 Jak game without Naughty Dog I think it'd be a let down.  Probably why they didn't try.

If true the UK game dev industry has just been decimated in recent years.

Bizarre was sometimes hit or miss but when they hit it was pretty good. There are a lot worse developers that should go before them.

It is a shame, but who didn't see this coming?  Blur and Bloodstone were terrible, awful flops and Activision seems to give developers a few chances before shitbinning them.

Blood Stone seems average.
Geometry Wars stuff was good

That's pretty much all their output under Activision.


I think its a bad call but Activision at this point only seems to be going for mega franchises and anything that doesn't fit that is cut brutally. Bizarre at worse could have eventually given them a franchise to compete with Need for Speed and Burnout.

NFS Hot Pursuit is everything I hoped for and then some. It feels like Ridge Racer, but with actual weight to the cars. The sense of speed is awesome. Controls are tight. I can't complain, it lives up to the hype.
