Darkstalkers seems like the most likely series for Capcom's fighting game team to move on to after SFxT is out. Then they can start working on SF5 for next-gen hardware.

I like Darkstalkers, but I don't really want a 2.5d one like SF4 or MvC3. Some things should be left to sprites.

Would rather Capcom made an original fighter that wasn't milking off the nostalgia of "characters you've already played a 100 times before".

eh that's whatever imo. polygons can look nice too, don't really care about that. More worried about them introducing comeback mechanics/making the game more defensive/random bullshit.

not convinced they're doing a new game yet though. I have fallen for Ono's lies far too many times.

Well, I'm just not sure SEGA is a "hands-off" company that will leave Atlus alone to run themselves in a profitable way. I can see them come in and mess up SMT by trying to "take it new directions" or something and after so many major Japanese series have bit the dust this gen, I reaaaally don't want anything to happen to SMT and it's spinoffs.
