I dunno, man. I just haven't been able to watch the show since like season 3.
But I guess I were to nail an official jumping the shark point, it's the wedding. Not because of the actual wedding itself, but because that's where the show should have ended.
Watching the baby episode last week confirmed that yes - the office has indeed jumped the shark.
Like are they pregnant or did they full on give birth already?
I think it really should have ended when Jim busts in at the end of season 4 I think? and asks Pam if she wants to go to dinner. Seriously. We knew what was going to happen right then and there.
I mean there were still a lot of funny moments after, but the actual story was dead. It was on fucking life support. What's next? Someone is going to try to seduce them? They're going to separate? They're going to get back together? They're going to have doubts but stay together? adjfadkjf they trapped themselves in a corner with the story. They decided to center the whole show around Jim and Pam's relationship and then when they got them together there's nowhere to go except down the cliche path.
The baby episode was actually kind of dark. It wasn't really a "Yay! We have a baby!" thing. That said, Dwight keeps getting worse and worse.
Dunoo. I still like the Office, but it's like a comfortable sweatshirt or something at this point.
