Hopefully the VA is better also, the talkie stuff I heatd in MI1 SE was some of the worst acting I had ever heard in a videogame. It wasnt even so bad its good (like Resident Evil or something), it was just really cringe/barf inducing. The ship salesman character was particulary bad.

More adventures to XBLA please! Full Throttle, DotT, The Dig would all be awesome. Particulary The Dig. All 6 Space Quests would be godly

I hope they fix the CONTROLS this time around.  And after they're done with MI2 I hope they do Sam & Max Hit The Road or Maniac Mansion.

Yeah, in the special edition of the first game everything looked a bit flat and undetailed. The character models look much more complex and appealing this time around and the lighting looks so much better.

and as great as it is to see Lucasarts supporting the adventure genre again, sorta.  Would it frickin kill them to put out something original, ever?

Full voice with the actual MI3+ Guybrush actor makes it worth upgrading.

Plus it'll be $5 on steam at the end of the year like MI1 remake.

The special edition of the first game came out on PC, Live Arcade, and iPhone.

I hope they fix the way the interface work in the special edition.  There were a couple of times in the MI1 remake where I switched to the older version just because the interface was more comfortable.

I hope there's also an option to play with the old graphics but with the voices and new music.

Well, it's out already, but I guess no one has it yet. Here's some tidbits from the Gamespot review to get you in the mood to put down $10:

Of course, nothing is particularly straightforward in Monkey Island 2 SE, and you may have to resort to trial-and-error or random wandering to get back on track. Or you could use the helpful hint system that gives you three progressively more specific hints as to what to do next, so you'll never be truly rudderless. If you prefer an even lighter nudge, you can easily highlight all the interactive objects in any scene.

By tapping a key, you can instantly switch between the original visuals in all their pixelated glory and the special edition visuals, which not only preserve the whimsical detail of the environments and characters, but also add a lot of nice new touches. To switch visuals is also to switch audio. The light calypso MIDI tunes of the original still retain their charm, though the revamped music and sound effects are much richer. The new version boasts full voice acting, which, though not without its weak points, does a lot to liven up the action. You can also turn the voiced dialogue on in the old version or add subtitles to the new version, depending on your preferences.

Monkey Island 2 SE sticks with the tried-and-true point-and-click controls, and using contextual commands like "look at" and "pick up" is a simple matter of moving your pointer over your target object and holding the right mouse button to call up a radial menu.

It sounds like they fixed a lot of the things I didnt like about MI1 SE.

Still, not sure If I should bite here. I was pretty unimpressed by how bad MI1 was, left a real bad taste in my mouth.

Would really like it if they remade a real good Lucasarts point and click, like Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, or The Dig.

Or better yet, Space Quest 1-6 HD baybee

I wish they'd just remake them with the old graphics but expanded to fill the whole screen.
