Finished Ladies vs Butlers. Didn't chose either girl end :/

He had no idea what the fuck was going on, even at the end, so the choice wasn't surprising.

Hey, when do the first new shows start?  Should be any day now, right?  I think I'm going to give this season a shot since I'm getting back into anime and following the start of seasons was always fun back in the day.

Also I noticed DTB OAV ep2 is out for MCD, Viz, Junpei.  Grabbing it now.

After I finished up Bakemonogatari, I've moved on to mainly concentrating on K-On!, DTB2, and Hanbun tsuki no sora e.  K-On! is actually pretty decent if you're into anime about bands.  Its a genre I really dig and I used to watch Weibb Kruez because of it and loved Beck and that one Yaoi show about a band, so K-On! is enjoyable watching with an alright amount of lolz and good animation.  DTB2 is kinda real dumb but Bones art/animation >>>> * so it's still enjoyable.  Hanbun is still alright, I'm almost finished with it.

Quote from: MechaDamashii
At the recent Tokyo International Anime Fair a rather interesting new anime series, called Kihei Senki Legacies, was announced. Now, we know this is primarily a mecha gaming website – so why cover an anime series announcement?

Well, the first reason is that the mecha design is being helmed by Kunio Okawara. The granddady of real robot mecha design and a designer that has worked on numerous mecha games over the years. The second reason is down to the narrative premise of Legacies; as the series’ protagonist is an ardent gamer and as such is ideally equipped to pilot the Omega 99 pictured above (which looks like an interesting fusion of Gundam and Patlabor design sensibilities, with a dash of Mr. T thrown in for good measure).

Now this is not the first time a mecha gaming nerd has fronted an anime like this, as Overman King Gainer did it not that long ago. What’s interesting about all this is that gaming is entering more into the world of mecha anime, as it’s normally the other way around – with games referencing anime based functionality to form the base rulesets for the mecha.

The TV series is planned to have a 52 episode run and there’s no word on a release date as yet.

Redline looks AWESOME in terms of animation, but I hate car stuff so I'll be skipping it.

I like zombies!
I don't like anime titties or panties

 :-\

And yeah I think the art sucks.  The proportions are terrible and the faces are ugly.  At least the animation quality seems good in that clip.

The proportions -obligatory huge anime titties nonwithstanding- are fine.  I like that guy's art a lot.  Forget his name.  He tends to more hentai than anything else though...that certainly must be a shock.  :P

Hanbun Tsuki was kind of meh when all was said and done.  You can't do a hospital drama about a dying girl unless you have a HORRIBLY DEPRESSING ENDING so I was disappointed they copped out and had a w/e ending.  At least it was only 6eps.

Do we have a studio?

Quote from: Anime News Network
The Anime Innovation Tokyo (AIT) production company has announced at Tokyo International Anime Fair on Friday that it is producing a new 52-episode television anime series called Kihei Senki Legacies. Story creator Shin Kibayashi (Bloody Monday, Kindaichi Case Files), mechanic designer Kunio Okawara (Mobile Suit Gundam, Armored Trooper Votoms, Yatterman), character designer Daisuke Nakayama (Tweeny Witches), and musical composer ReTurnTable (Transonic, Tanzmuzik) are collaborating on the science-fiction adventure robot anime with director UGAT.

Update: Trick Block, Inc. (Cavity Express) is producing the anime. AIT is THINK Corporation and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's joint venture that sponsored last year's Cencoroll. AIT describes the story of Kihei Senki Legacies as the following:

This story is set in Kissyo City, an urban zone with a vaguely unnatural atmosphere, though reminiscient of a typical modern Japanese suburb. The city is one of several oasis districts around the world that are dying due to the consequences of wars in the previous century. In the past, many large-size robots were created during wartime, though due to constant battle none have survived intact. Only the deformed and customized robots remain. These relics robots [sic] from past wars are called Legacies. Underneath the veneer of a calm and peaceful oasis. Kissyo City is being targeted by a dreadful armed group, who steal resources and the 'secret' of the city. Simone, the mayor and commander of the defense forces, rises the occasion with determination, hiring 5 rogues who can operate the Legacies in defense of the city. Together they decide to counter the threat using their 'trump card', Ω99 (Omega Double Nine), a unique series of military robot that has been lying dormant for an age. Using their 'mind', each robot selects the pilot who should operate them. Only those who can 'synchronize' with these robots can board them, hence the pilots are called Synchronizer. Out of all of the combat robots, Ω99 is the most challenging to pilot, requiring the highest level of operational skiils. Ω99, the final hope of the defense forces selects an average teenage boy called Yamato, as the synchronizer; a character who is unaware of the dangers approaching the city; a good-for-nothing who's only apparent skill is at playing games.

And the Scopedog kinda looks like a Zaku.  And pretty much all of Kunio Okawara's Gundam designs post-F91 look pretty alike.  He's pretty much over-the-hill...I don't see wtf they keep hiring him.

I didn't much care for the ending. Everything got wrapped up in pretty much the safest way possible.

And the inclusion of a "villain", who was little more than a cliche of every anime villain ever, just felt way too out of place and too forced.

I've had Blood+ playing in the background for the past few days while I study and shit. Figured it's on netflix streaming, may as well have something mindless going.  What the hell, there's no action in this show...promises of school girl vampires chopping up other vampires...but it's all lame anime narrative.
