The guy I'm going to be roommates with over the summer wears Google Glass everyday, he's developing something for it. I saw him browsing The Verge and immediately pointed out how much I hate looking at Joshua Topolsky's face/fashion sense.

Usually I just say whatever is on my mind so that people don't think I'm too intimidating/quiet but I kinda regret that sometimes.

I'm not shocked by that.  Folks get hyperjudgmental about motherhood; young, first-time mothers seem to draw a constant stream of unsolicited advice from older women that runs the gamut from overfamiliar to flat-out dickish.

Breastfeeding/natural birth are like the intersection between that and the natural-living ethos, which typically comes with a certain amount of defensiveness and, uh deeply held beliefs.  So yeah, that's an area where women disproportionately flip their shit.

I nursed that sweet little baby of mine. But god damn was that shit hard. I don't know how or why anyone would actually enjoy it. It didn't feel good. It felt horrible, and it made me sleepy. I liked bonding with my girl and knowing she was growing because I'm a fucking superhero who makes food out of nothing, but other than that, ughhh. And I was at work so much that I was only nursing her once or twice a day anyway, and hooked up to a fucking machine the rest of the day.

It started getting easier, but then she got teeth. I slowly made less and less until there was nothing left so I had to quit after 8 months. Well unless I wanted to continue because it felt good but no.

I'm sure my view on it is different than most, because the likelihood of women with chronic pain disorders breastfeeding longer than a day are probably slim. I think I'm the only one ever. Plus I was on that ridiculous diet of no dairy by-products because she would get so sick, so I could basically eat meat and fruit and veggies. For 6 months straight. SIX.

And women's views on breastfeeding are the same as George Carlin's views on driving. Anyone going slower than you is an idiot and anyone going faster than you is a maniac. Anyone nursing less than you must be a horrible mom, and anyone nursing longer than you must be a fucking militant La Leche League bitch. It's all just shit women brag about or say because they think it makes them better than other moms. Because we're generally insufferable cuntbags. I had women telling me I was breastfeeding too long (even after 7 weeks), and other women telling me I needed to stick it out longer WITHOUT ME EVER ASKING THEIR OPINION OR TALKING TO THEM ABOUT IT.

Same for natural birth. I'm a horrible mom or a fucking psycho bitch, depending on what kind of birth the woman judging had or thinks she will have, because I went through 20 something hours of labor without as much as Tylenol, blacked out from pain (because, you know, it hurts when people hug me too hard, so obviously childbirth is probably going to make my body say FUCK YOU), let them put in the epidural cath and give me one dose, and then I let it wear off so I could push. I had a epidural for about an hour. HORRIBLE MOM (if you had a natural birth) or YOU'RE FUCKING CRAZY (if you walked into the hospital and got an epidural on your way past the nurse's station). Take your pick.

Same thing just happened to my friend, and the baby's cord was wrapped around her neck. After 2-3 days of distress for mom and baby and no dilating, that baby has to get out.

Certain people in her family are still making her feel bad for it, and for not producing milk due to all the drugs and shit they had her on after the emergency c section. I feel horrible for her.

My brother's first kid was allergic to breast milk, and most formula (except the stuff that cost 35$ a can).  If it had happened prior to 1976 or whenever the formula was first made the kid would have died.  Still, she got a lot of "probably something something in your diet" or "you should have stuck with it a little longer".  It's kind of amazing because no woman I've ever talked to has been like "all the advice was so helpful!" it's more on the "shut the fuck up, please!".  In family stuff can get surprisingly vicious.

I don't have any friends. 

I have acquaintances and internet friends, one or two good friends but not close ones that I'd hang out with all the time.  I made a whole bunch of close friends that I'd do that with over the last year after my older close friends had all kind of drifted away due to relationships/moves and now the newer friends have all drifted away or had bridges burnt.


After losing my last couple of friends in the last week, I'm back to being a homebody.  Exercising, playing games, writing; pretty much just hanging around since I don't have anyone to go out with.  It's 9:46pm on a Saturday night and I'm debating going to a 10:30 showing of Superman or This is the End alone just to get out of the house. 


I know how to make friends, and I'll get back to doing it; but losing friend after friend after friend is really shitty and can make you kind of not want to interact with people socially after enough times.

Nah, that ended up resolving ok.  It's mainly been because all my newer friends were single and we'd all hang out and then everyone got in relationships and were gone.  Then in the last 3 months I lost an a really good new friend I made on OKC to a bf, a month later I lost a new friend couple because I drank too much at a party with them and accidentally tackled one when going for a hug and it scared them off, and then just recently I lost a friend because...I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with him trying to get with my best friend and seeing me as an obstacle, and then I lost my best friend because he succeeded.  So yeah, it's been a really shitty 3 months.  In fact, 2013 has probably already been the worst year of my life so far. 

I'm ready for 2014 already.

*edit* I actually have two good trustworthy friends right now.  But one works early early mornings so I feel bad hitting them up in the evening and then they don't get sleep & the other is broke and can't go and do anything right now :\

I hadn't known them that long, they were friends of a friend and we were just started to hang out regularly outside of the friend, and get to know each other better, and one of them had a bad back and the hug/tackle made it worse and they never really forgave me and I never saw them again in person.

Here's the timeline

Umps warns guy on language

Guy waits until in between innings and jumps the kid while he was getting water...pushing him and asking if he feels like "manning it up, taco"

Another guy pushes down the asshole and tells him to pick on someone his own age.

I grab asshole by the back, pick him up, and carry him to the parking lot.
