Lmfao I remember this, in the 00s. I was born with thick black bushy eyebrows which was considered extremely ugly and nerdy back in high school so I'd overpluck them too.
Joke is on the bullies, I stopped plucking for most of the part and got full eyebrows now while those bitches gotta draw them on like Nike logos.

There is this temporary tattoo trend now called microblading, which tattoos on single lines and can either look really nice and natural, or super fake and weird. My bff never had much eyebrow hair so  the microblading really helped her.

Good problem to have, I'm furless as a fucking naked rat so I'm actually looking into getting that microblading thing done.

It's been a service offered by Japanese barbers as far back as I can remember. They'll shape eyebrows  as part of the whole shave-and-a-haircut service.

However my nephew in Osaka was part of the whole overplucking (not trimming) thing, and I seriously told him to stop fucking with his face. He laughed and probably thought I'm an old man who doesn't understand, but he'll see what I mean in 10 years when reviewing era pictures with his kids, while they laugh at him.

Pretty much hit a breaking point at work.  It wasn't a meltdown but it was like a moment of clarity hit and I was "fuck this shit".  I've been sending out resumes and hitting up my industry contacts.

Ironically enough the next day after that revelation, I got invited to be in a circlejerk senior executive retreat that will be held in September.  Still kept sending out those applications anyway.
