Depends on that makeup of your calories. Make sure those are quality calories. Best bet is to really pound the greens and fatty foods to feel satiated and make sure youre getting the right nutritional intake.

Could also be feeling the effect of sugar, caffeine or alcohol withdrawls if youve gone cold turkey on any of these.

So, I interviewed at a place where I would be independent.
On one hand it gets me out of this job that is killing me. That's good.
I'd be independent and working for myself. That's also good.
Since I'm independent it means I only have to worry about one project at a time. That's also good.

It means that I'm exposed to more risk. That's bad.
I have to travel a bunch for the first few months. Not terribly different, but bad.
I have to supply my own health insurance for me and the kids. That's bad.

Part of me is like "don't be dumb and leave! You get benefits and you don't have to worry about bench or anything!"
Another part of me is like "If you stay, you'll throw yourself off a bridge. Almost any other outcome is better."
Another part of me is like "That's just a 'grass is greener' thought."

Honestly at this point I don't really care. I'd rather take a Target or Wal-mart job. Maybe I should take it.

I knew someone similar: was at a high position at a company, got run ragged, and took another job that paid about 20% less but it was almost stress free in comparison. He thought the move was well worth it and was kicking himself for not doing it earlier.

Dude job stress is the worst. If you think this new job will relieve some of that, go for it. I took a paycut moving to my current job but the stress relief from not working near constant overtime and traveling half the month was immediately noticeable. I lost a bunch of weight from not stress eating/eating like shit on the road, had lower blood pressure, and everyone I knew said I was just a lot better to be around.
