Got the job that I talked about a couple of pages back, the pay its absolute shit but its only 4 hours a day for a month, the company that hire me is looking to improve their customer service so I'm gonna go to the stores as a "secret customer" be as annoying as I can and see if they react the way they're suppose to.

I'm also getting a secret recorder since I can't take notes in front of the employees

I really hate MS Works' auto-correct. I should just turn it off. One, it is a crutch for typoists like myself or those who just can not spell, but mostly it is because it auto-corrects terminology, jargon and words that somehow outreach its dictionary database into completely different signifiers. Drives me nuts to write an entire paper, print it up and then realize a keyword has been changed into something else.

Went to my daily meeting with my census supervisor and she had me turn all my work in without checking it, as well as my badge and binder. She said the main supervisor is looking over everyone's work or something, before giving out new ones. I got the impression that they're planning on letting some people go. I wouldn't be surprised at all if I got let go; the majority of places I've gone to either didn't have houses or featured many vacant houses. The binder I was working on this week had 12 houses for me to work on: 7 were occupied where I either got an interview with an occupant or proxy (ie asking a neighbor if the house next to him is occupied/how many people live there), 4 were non-responses (they have for rent signs so I'm pretty sure they're vacant; called the rent agencies and I'm waiting for call backs), and 1 was a refusal.

So the last few days of this week were productive for once considering the amount of interviews I did. But usually no one is home, no houses on block, etc.  Gotta say this hasn't been nearly as interesting as I expected. And I miss my old supervisor/trainer  :'(

This might be too much real talk for EB, but I'll try. I think I have an anal fissure.

About a week ago I noticed an odd, faint feeling in my ass. It wasn't bothering me, and really only became somewhat prominent when I sneezed or climaxed. Yesterday the pain became quite prominent throughout the day. I was walking a lot as I did my census work, so my mind wasn't focused on it much. But once I got home/sat down it was quite annoying. Last night I barely slept due to the feeling - it's not some horrible pain, and instead more of an annoying pain like a scratch/cut or something. I wound up waking up around 5am and realizing I was soaked in sweat.

I've looked over the list of causes on wikipedia, and don't see one that fits me. I use soft toilet paper, I'm not constipated, I'm a clean person, etc. The only thing I can think of is this: early yesterday before heading out for census work, I did some pull ups; my brother challenged me and I had to defend myself (I lost horribly but hey, I'm more of a cardio guy). Maybe that abdominal stress caused the problem to get worse, resulting in the pain I felt for the rest of the day as well as today.

Right now I'm drinking a lot of water and eating fiber meals, and trying not to stretch my ass. The temptation to stretch in hopes of fixing the problem is pretty high, even though I know it will probably make things worse. smh

  You know how it is. Last minute add-on gift for Mothers Day that turns into an hour long adventure. Some of the things that pissed me off:

Have to go to Walgreens on Mothers Day.
Can't find watering globes at Walgreens, which usually have a shit ton.
Buy cards and leave for Walmart.
Realize the normal looking cards I bought are $6.50. Why?
Have to go to Walmart on Mothers Day.
Walk around for 40 minutes, dodging idiots.
Can't find globes here either.
Finally give up and call my mom to ask her where they would be and if it's really what I'm looking for.
As it's ringing, I find them.
Then my iPhone does this stupid thing it does periodically where I can't hear out of the earpiece.
As I'm walking up to the empty line, 6 people run ahead of me.

My family usually (or used to anyways) have a gathering every holiday: Easter, mother's day, father's day, independence day, memorial day, thanksgiving, christmas, and new years.

Now we usually only do it on thanksgiving and christmas and easter.

We have dinner, but it's just for my mother and father. No grandma, aunts, uncles or counsin's this year. Believe me, I am going to bring an end to this shit.

It was definitely my grandmas death that stopped the big family gatherings. My mom could've kept it up but some of the family got all weird and greedy when she died over some of her antiques and house. They were pissed when my brother died because he had nothing for them to inherit. Maybe it's for the best that they don't come around much anymore...

Change of plans. Called to say happy mothers day...and only my brother was home. He said my parents went to Detroit to visit my grandparents/other family. And they didn't drop one of their vehicles off here, so I can't go clean my dad's practice or get cards.
