Actually, they make a lot of sofas that short. I don't know the purpose in them, but it happens. But honestly, if the photo she saw online was taken like you took yours, it probably did seem huge. I would have guessed that thing to be at least another foot taller.

So I was watching Party Down Season 1 yesterday on Netflix instant streaming. It is the best comedy I have seen in a long, long time. I loved it. I finished episode 5 and Netflix would usually put Episode 6 next so I just press "X" and go. But a-ha! Episode 5 was still there. I went to go manually choose episode 6 and wtf! It's not available for streaming. I have to order the disc. What the fuck! When the fuck did they start doing this?

Astoria is a good choice, I know quite a few people who live there. I've hung out there a few times in the past month or so, too. Lots of bars and restaurants and whatnot. And if you like hookah, Steinway St. is the place.

If you allow this to happen, you HAVE to lay down ground rules. Write them out. Have her sign them.

Good idea. Having something on paper is a smart move. I don't think rules are enough, however, since she could always argue to a third-party that she's followed them even in those instances she hasn't, resulting in a "my word vs. her word" situation, thus nullifying the value/purpose of the written agreement; but what can't be disputed is something like a move-out date.
