yeah, the best advice I can give is not do anything, and leave it completely up to her. That way you're blameless (to a degree) if any shit hits the fan. The guy will be suspect if he gets dumped and she hooks with you, so give it a few weeks, and if the dude hits you up, just say there was no pretense while he was with her. Thats all bases covered I think.

Also just by getting involved in these thoughts you're probably carrying too much baggage about the situation already. What Tsunami said, its her situation, you DONT want to get involved with a chick who is gonna make her problems become yours too.

It happened to me last year, I hooked up with a chick in class who was cheating on her long distance boyfriend by doing so. She said she was fine with it (she initiated everything), but then she'd turn around and treat me like absolute shit, like I was the bad guy and coerced her and shit. I didn't have a clue what was going on, basically I just figured she was unhappy with herself and trying to pin all her shit and issues on me.

At the end of the day, life's hard enough without carrying someone else crap, you gotta look out for numero uno

Yeah it's a weird situation and I do feel bad for her and her confusion: she basically told me she's been looking for an excuse to break up with her boyfriend and she says I'm what she's been looking for for YEARS, etc etc before kissing me.  I let her for a bit but I stopped it and told her basically what I've already said in the above posts.  The ball's in her court and honestly, I'm okay if she plays it safe, because like I said, I like this guy and I want to continue being friends with him.

So, I applied for a full-time position with the hospital I work at.  I've been there since December of '09 and I only know of two other people that have applied thus far.  One person is brand new and works in a different department.  She also doesn't mesh at all with the ER staff because she creates a stressful work environment for us.  The other one is a girl that has worked the job before, but left without giving notice to another job in the hospital because she didn't like the hours given for the job.  She's already said that if she gets it, she wouldn't be able to come in at the hours they need her there.  I on the other hand, have been more than flexible with them and saved their asses on quite a few occasions when nobody else would work.  I've not been problematic for them at all, other than being late a couple of times and calling in twice.  I've been talking to my boss over the last few days and I think she's going to screw me out of it.  She keeps asking me if I really want to work that shift, or if I just care about being there full-time.  She mentioned trying to create a full-time position on nights, but that it would be a few months away.  I've also have the disadvantage of not being related to anyone at the hospital, and family ties go deep in a small town like this.  The current ER manager got her job after only being a nurse for < 1 year and being in an ICU.  She'd never even stepped foot in an ER except during her clinical hours.  Out of the other people that applied, one had a business degree and had been an ER nurse for over 10 years.  She just didn't share the last name as the rest of the administration.

tl;dr I think I'm getting fucked out of a full-time position because I'm not related to anyone in this po-dunk fucking town.

Strangely enough this has only shown up in Opera... so far. Maybe it's a bug introduced in a recent update? Anyone else have this problem? Please tell me my VGA RAM is still OK and that the bork borks at Opera just fucked things up. I'm not ready yet for an upgrade.
