I'm still cracking up because I actually get a lot of these jokes now that I'm older.

Slappy the squirrel is still my fave. <3

Bring on the Freakazoid and Tiny Toons!

<JasonSliva> First off, thanks for the great releases so far in terms of your animated product. In regards to future animation, are any releases currently planned for Tiny Toon Adventures or Road Rovers? Also, will What's New Scooby Doo ever be released in season sets vs the single disc releases we now receive? In regards to live action, are any releases planned for Two of a Kind or Time Trax?

<WARNER> We're in the process of evaluating Tiny Toons and and Road Rovers. We have plans to release Whats New Scooby Doo in complete season sets in 2007. Nothing planned yet for Two of a kind or Time Trax.

wtf. PROCESS OF EVALUATING. Release that shit NOW.

animaniacs is awesomeness

If it was released in the day of adultswim, it might have really let loose.  I dream of a Chicken Boo/OJ Simpson episode.

Animaniacs kicked ass. So many great parts. Pinky and the Brain :lol

Plus some of the other little skits were hilarious.

"Call me mommy, call me mom, call me mother, ANYTHING but lady!"
"...ok lady, I love you goodbye!"

Or the Pidgeons that would just say "Bob White, Bob White" all the time :lol

Just makes me appreciate 90's cartoons even more. Kids today have very few options considering how shitty cartoons are now

Everyone says that about their childhood. It is just nostalgia. There is nothing special about 90's cartoons other than that is when you grew up.

Heh, you have the first two single disc pressings? Believe me, watching the new one will make you want to toss those other discs ASAP. ;)

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of Ebay ;) I dont imagine the second edition will fetch much, since Im assuming its still in print. But the first edition could fetch me a pretty penny.

Jacob are you distinguished mentally-challenged? :lol

Late 80's:
-GI Joe
-VOLTRON
-Transformers
-Thundercats

90's:
-ADVENTURES OF BATMAN
-X-Men
-Superman
-Animaniacs
-Adventures of Spiderman
-GARGOYLES
-DOUG
-Sonic (not the happy go lucky one, this one was a dark take on Sonic based on the comics)
-Adventures of Batman and Superman
-Silver Surfer

Now let's compare this to modern stuff:

-Dragon Ball Z
-Spongebob
ughhhh

The winner is obvious

Dragonball Z was created in the late 80's and ended in 1995, so it's excluded. The fact we got it late doesn't matter, it's still old.

Here mister PD:
00's cartoons that I think were pretty good I rarely watch cartoons so this is off the top of my head:
-Batman Beyond(started 99 but mainly a 00 show)
-Justice League
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (before it got all sci-fiy it was a damn good animated series like Batman TAS)
-Sponge Bob
-Clone Wars (one of the greatest animated series EVER)
-Avatar (suprisingly good from the very little I have seen)
-Samurai Jack

Oh and NEVER list the marvel cartoons. I loved them in the 90's but no shows have aged worse than them. They are horrible now.

90's:

2 Stupid Dogs
Dexter's Laboratory
Recess
Doug
Rugrats
Ren and Stimpy
Freakazoid
Pinky and the Brain
Swat Kats
Tiny Toon Adventures
Rocko's Modern Life
AAH! Real Monsters
Oggy and the Cockroaches
Real Adventures of Johnny Quest
Cow and Chicken
Powerpuff Girls

;etc etc.

Not to mention:

Simpsons (when it didn't suck)
The Critic
Dr Katz
Duckman
King of the Hill
Aeon Flux
MTV's Robin cartoons
Liquid Television in general
Daria

Yeah. Whoever says that animation in 00's are better than past decades is insane. A lot of these shows back then had A LOT of creativity and weren't regurgitated bullcrap. A lot of these shows I listed are things I would have enjoyed even if I was an adult. Can't say the same thing for these shows in the 00's.

The best cartoons these days are stuff like Home Movies or Aqua Teen, which definitely aren't what I would call standard kids shows.

Were is the key word. They have aged into some of the worst animated tv shows in history.

Canada created one of the greatest sketch comedy shows of all time fool. SCTV! Without SCTV there would be no John Candy nor this:

Hell yes!  I'm going to download them now!

Doug was awesome because it was like The Wonder Years Lite in a cartoon.
