I've kind of been stuck in Folkie land for the past few years, so I've been listening to the "alternative" station on Sirius as a change of pace. They play this group alot.

They're in Guitar Hero II. I first heard them about a year ago and I liked the song "Dimension" off their EP even though it was sounded basically like a Black Sabbath ripoff. But once I heard their full album, and "Woman" about 500 times (including in Guitar Hero II), they started to annoy me.

I paid good money to see the reunited Sabbath complete with Ozzy, and the hell if I'll pay money to listen to this second-rate Sabbath act!

Looking at their live stuff, seems like they would be a good band to go see.

I was never a big Sabbath/Zepplin fan when I was younger, maybe that's why these guys don't instantly repulse me. But I understand how they can have that effect.

When they played NYC last year, an opening band called the Black Lips completely upstaged them and left them standing, literally, in puddles of urine. The Black Lips are fucking great. Wolfmother, not so much.
