It was a total disaster of epic proportions until they started to take themselves seriously, around when the hudson guy came out.

Then it became sad when IGA was carted onto the stage and was begging us to buy the game and had to introduce the big budget Castlevania title that he had nothing to do with. He's not even a producer.

Yeah he did.

And I liked them.  ^^;  I don't hate 3d CV like everyone else.  Before it was Igavania CV was AN ACTION GAME.  The 3d ones have just been poor action games, no reason the new one can't be a good action game that recreates the classic CV that was awesome until it became metroid.

Actually the majority opinion is that the new CV looks great.  We just have some haters here who don't believe CV should be anything besides a 2.5D platformer or metroid game.

CV was not an action game. It was mostly a platforming game. The action itself was tame outside of boss fights.

It was action & platforming.  The new one has action and probably platforming and whip swinging.  It also has GREAT art that looks very CV, has a top-notch voice cast, the combat looks solid, and the environments look amazing to explore. 

As much as you hate it, God of War/Rygar is the modern equivalent of Dracula X.  Go forward through levels, fight enemies, and make jumps.

Yeah, hopefully the combat is better than GoW.  It's definitely not as technical as DMC/NG/Bayo, but too early too tell if it's generic combat, generic enemy patterns.

I wish they would release the E3 demo on XBL/PSN.
