Left 4 Dead is an incredibly shallow but fun coop game. It's good but pretty overrated IMO.

L4D2 improved on a lot of areas that the first game lacked.

L4D2 is better in pretty much every way, yeah, but the first game isn't that far behind. I played some levels on expert recently and it's pretty amazing. The level of tension is shot through the roof and every little mistake is costly, it's pretty great.

i think they throw too many special infected at you in l4d2, and the tension factor is lower, it's more constant panic at the flood

Maybe your version contains some great/innovative/revolutionary gameplay.

Yeah, you probably picked up the wrong one then. It's a common mistake, from what I've heard. See, you've got to get the one where you and three friends have to fight your way through various levels filled with hordes of zombies and special zombies that mix things up. It's always and exciting, thrilling experience and no two games ever play out quite the same, but you've got to make sure that you get the right one. It's called "Left 4 Dead", it's the one with the "4" in it, not "For". That throws some people off.

Oh that's the one I got.

And it still sucks complete ass.

L4D isnt really my kind of game, its a bit too hardcore and scary for me. But calling it bad? Hell no, its a really well made game for sure.

Then again Im sure its a blast with 3 other players. Ive only ever played with 1 other dude before.

Actually, I won a copy of L4D2 for xbox, but none of my friends have it. As a result I havent really given it much of a go. If anyone has the game and would like to play/give me a few pointers Id much appreciate it

If you're not playing with three other people, then your'e not really playing it. AI teammates suck big time.

They sure are useful for aimbotting special infected across the map though.
