Yet im still tempted, I want SKIES OF ARCADIA GC DAMNIT!

The thing is I went shopping last night, to make up for some procrastination, and it was just nuts. I wandered the parking lot looking for a spot, fighting others more daring with their 15k+ vehicles, and losing often. When I DID get in the toy section looked like....well lets just say it was pretty rough.

Everyone inside was pushing and pulling and speaking in tongues. I managed to get out a live with the remaining gifts taken care of, but what happened to the pleasant parts of christmas. I mean Ill still hang out with friends on christmas eve and have lots of fun, but it used to be that the entire TOWN got into christmas and people used this month as an excuse not to act like assholes.

Now its all BUY BUY BUY BUY! I predict it now, Christmas dead before 2100.

I finished all my shopping yesterday, thank god. I might venture to Best Buy on Christmas Eve to buy myself Seasons 2 and 3 of The Wire.

Cash is seen as a crass gift yet it is a vastly superior present compared to a gift card. Do hookers accept gift cards for payment? No!

Gift cards are a big scam in the retail industry as upwards of 20% of gift cards go unused. That is pure profits for the big retail chains. Sure I'd prefer a Best Buy gift card to a sweather, but gift cards are still a scam.

I enjoy gift cards, I think they're much more thoughtful than cash and even than some gifts. Back when I had money to buy clothes haha, I did a lot of shopping at Kaufmann's (now Macy's) and I think a Macy's gift card would be better than a sweater or something that I might not like or might already have.

I just ordered two HBO sets from Best Buy (50% off). In-store pickup for gifts. Tomorrow is going to suck ass. But Band Of Brothers will never be cheaper, what a great gift that will be.

All my Christmas shopping was completed a week ago. I went out today and bought Rainbow Six Vegas for myself, on sale at Best Buy for $45. Awesome game so far.
