To summarise:
EDF2 Portable for PSP
EDF Insect Armageddon (by a bunch of stinky foreigners)
EDF mobile (moshi moshi)
EDF4 (the real deal)

I think EDF2 Portable would actually be a lot of fun in Japan where people can huddle and play PSP co-op. If they add 4p co-op instead of the old 2p and everyone can ad-hoc together and fight monsters and get loot it'd be pretty cool. Means nothing to us living outside the nihon though, since no one else owns a psp ^^;

I wonder how many dozens of hours it will take to health farm to beat the game on inferno now. Took so long but I finally got that achievement.

Well I was thinking of EDF 2017 level of graphics. At 480P and with a little fogging, I would think it's graphics are mediocre by Wii standards.

I just saw the trailer for the new one and it looks a lot better. Looks like a mediocre current-gen game which is more than good enough.

What Beezy said. Wii online is comparable to the Dreamcast.

I don't think anyone expects great graphics from these games.

Don't even try to justify or comprehend the performance of 2017 on x360. I mean, look at the PS2 games and look at 2017, other than resolution do you see any real difference in what the game's pushing? It's fair to say that 2017 was the same scope as the past PS2 games and similar detail level even, shouldn't be hard to imagine Wii doing a PS2 game at 480P.

Insect Armageddon exists solely to tide me over to the real deal (the Sandlot games). I'll buy it just because it's EDF but I have no expectations for it. Even if it's bad, co-op should be fun for a few days.

I'm still getting it. Even if it sucks compared to the previous games, it should be fun enough with online co-op. Plus it's only 40 bucks.

Inferno mode better be brutal.

My problem isn't the art, it's that there just doesn't seem to be as much going on in this one as the previous EDFs. Maybe it's there but I haven't seen any big EDF style battles from any of the footage I've seen.

This game only has 15 levels, according to a dev from Vicious Cycle. FAIL

how the fuck did they manage to screw up this game. I imported the originals, they were super cheap and even if they ran at 10 fps, they had more content than this new release. Even the EDF2017 had something like 60 missions.

What the hell went wrong? A random mission generator could generate gameplay forever on this kind of game. What an atomic fail
