Over at GAF I saw that the limited edition is on sale for $39.99 on Amazon.com and I'm thinking about biting. Is it worth it? I remember being excited about this one a few years ago but now I'm completely indifferent.

Alan Wake is a pretty good B+ game. Nothing special, but fun to play through.

Deadly Premonition is better.

Alan Wake starts out great but gets silly and dumb near the end. Level 4 is awesome tho.

I enjoyed Alan Wake slightly. It's got some huge problems and boring gameplay. RE5 is way better though.

Alan Wake main game is so-so. Alice's (whatever her name was) terrible face model will give you nightmares.

Alan Wake DLC 1 is awesome. Shame that the entire game wasn't as good as the post-release DLC.

they are both good games. I'm playing through Alan Wake on 'Nightmare' right now and getting all the collectibles. Lots of fun. The game is easy as shit though, I'm halfway through chapter 5 and I've died like, 4 times? Theres checkpoints and items and shit everywhere. RE5 is more challenging, and is the better game.... I should play it some more, actually. Never tried the DLC.

i found alan wake really hard on the default thing because i dident know how to play it but i beat RE5 on the hardest hard difficulty really easily except for that fucking on wheels fight against the El Brujo or w/e it is

man i lvoed re5. nothing like upgrading ur weps to have unlimited ammo and it not considered cheating

I played through the beginning of Alan Wake, and so far it's okay. They do a lot of crazy shit that doesn't make any goddamn sense. Like, if I started seeing weird shit like that I would have committed myself into a goddamn hospital instead of running around the fucking forest getting attacked by my schizophrenic imagination.

Well I ended up buying it anyway. Should be here by the 16th. I'm not sure why I need all that extra crap but hey, free DLC.

I just beat the game on Nightmare with all collectibles

Also finally redeemed my code for The Signal. Seems fucking awesome so far, even better than the main game
