Kirby's Epic Yarn

Cool game. Very clean and colorful. Nice Kirby game. distinguished mentally-challenged fellow easy, as usual... but it's cool to chill out to. Baked. High.

Better than Mario Galaxy for sure.

:dizzy

I like Kirby, but the -5/10 difficulty makes them so boring to play.  Can't say I have a lot of interest in this one.  But I don't play games high.

The Kirby mechanics are really good. Why must the games be so distinguished mentally-challenged fellow-baby easy?

this game has no kirby mechanics, you can't fly or gain enemy powers

in fact it wasn't even a kirby game, they just slapped kirby when they realized they were so close to actualy creating new characters

I was interested in this game and then I realized how easy it was sure to be. I've played enough easy platformers. Pass.

have you played the Klonoa games before? videos remind me more of Klonoa than Kirby and if that's the case, I'm fine with it.

I want a sequel to Kirby 64.  I really liked combining powers to make different or more powerful ones.

Kirby's Canvas Curse had a decent challenge and a fun gimmick.  I think there was even challenge stages separate from the main game. It's the best Kirby game and the only one worth playing.  Also Kirby's Block Ball is good, which makes it impossible for me to enjoy all the slow breakout clones.

Yeah, Canvas Curse was really neat.  Kind of a shame they never made another in that style.

So I heard in this one, you can't even die. If you get hit, you just lose beads, and if you run out of beads, nothing happens.
SOUNDS AWESOME.

Dont u play iphone games? This is perfect for you - casual

I played the first three stages while I was waiting for my food to cook. The graphics and art and animation and such are all awesome, but I dunno, game's kinda boring. I guess the point is to go through the level collecting as much shit as possible so you can get the gold rank, because the enemies do not pose any threat at all. Seems like this is quite literally a babby game.

Don't forget about Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. That shit was AMAZING.

(not in the vein of Canvas Curse, but really the only other Kirby game with any kind of challenge)

I havent played Klonoa. It's retarde easy but doesnt have any draw to it. I'd rather enjoy Kirby's looks than Klonoas crap looks.

I don't see the big deal about KSS. I played it for the first time on DS and it seemed similar to the others. Canvas Curse and Dreamland 2 are the good ones.

it's just so fast paced and varied, like you are now sword kirby and are murdering everyone with fendents and the next second, you have a yo-yo and kill enemy by breakdancing and are fighting against a giant whale

and the music is awesome

I played through Super Star on DS and yeah it was alright, but again, kind of boring.  I just don't think platformer Kirby has much appeal to older folk.  Too bad because the art is always great.

i've played up to the first 3 world and i pretty much agree with what was already said

the level do have a nice personality to them, there is a dinosaur level,a cake level,a toy level,a music level but they are all so dull to traverse, there are no stuff to dodge,no jumps to make, barely any enemy to fight and the 3 hidden treasure are hidden in the same sense that this post is hidden in the fact that you have to scroll down to read it,it's really a shame

anyway as it was said, you can't die, ever, when you get hit,you lose beads which dictate your ranking when you finish the level, what wasn't said is that you lose beads a-la sonic rings so it's pretty easy to get all your lost beads back unless they get stuck into an hard to reach place

in some levels kirby transform into something near the end,it works pretty much as yoshi island, heck some transformation are even the same, this adds a little variety but it really doesn't help the game too much, examples encountered so far

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Tank - kirby drives a giant missile firing tank
UFO - Kirby can fly around, suck enemy and release electricity which destroy everything
Fire Truck - kirby has a water pump he can use to turn off fire
Digger - kirby digs around dirty
Racing Truck - makes kirby go faster, used in race segments
Train - Draw tracks with the wiimote and kirby follow them
[close]

my biggest disappointment is the music,to me it just sounds like generic piano music
but the bosses are good, especialy the third one

spoiler (click to show/hide)
it was a giant pumpkin magician, the whole fight plays in front of an audience of waddle dee and he spins a giant roulette,3 hats and he hides in his giant magician hat and kirby has to find him,3 cards and he throws magic card,3 ropes and he straps kirby to a giant bomb and kirby has to waggle himself free :lol,3 mantle and he makes bomb appear out of nowhere
[close]

anyway there are extra modes that you can unlock, stuff like "find the 5 hidden stars" or "get 200 Beads in under a minute!" but they take place in levels you already traversed, they are already dull enough the first time, doing them twice is overkill! to make it worse all you get for clearing these extra modes are wallpaper to put in your special room, what is this animal crossing?

apparently this game was made by the same guy who made wario land shake it and it makes sense, since "THE GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME,THE BOSS ARE AWESOME BUT THE REST OF THE GAME SUCKS" was pretty much what i tought of it

I will never understand how our cruncheon finds the time to play all the games he does and still have time for a job, a family and other stuff. These days about two games a year is my limit, and I only have the job out of all those.

Drinky has ways of dealing with such distractions.

"Daddy, my tummy hurts."
"That's nice dear, but daddy's busy right now."
"But you've already beaten Mario!"
"Honey, what did we say about backtalk?"
"But it hur.."

Yeah, it's actually a shame about the fact you can't die and the fact that it's so easy, because there's some clever level design thrown in there. It's much much better than Good Feel's Wario game for Wii. I love the music, and the graphic style, and like you said, sometimes its nice to play a game that you can just chill out and relax to without any pressure or frustration.
