Okay. I played Kinect at Best Buy and I'm planning to buy in the next few days

I'm not only a new tech nerd, i was surprised at how well it worked. My only question is are there any real games out (not sports compilations or exercise shit or mini games). i'm going to probably get kinect sports with it but I want something else too. The only thing I've seen is Harry Potter. Is there any news on upcoming games?

This. I don't understand the hate. Kinect, Move and Waggle are a maturing platform and it will take a while for games that make good use of them to come out but there are certainly games out for them now that are fun.

I can't find Dance Masters anywhere but I heard it's a lot better than Dance Central so I'll wait til I can find it. I think I'm getting Kinect Sports for now and maybe Kinectimals in a couple of weeks.

basically people have been shitting out all this "end of gaming" crap since the Wii blew up. There are still tons of shooters, RPGs, action games, strategy game coming out and being developed. There will be a market for "real" games for many years yet. But this motion shit looks real cool and fun so I'm gonna check it out.

I think I've said this before but I have zero interest in Kinect. Would never buy it. Have no interest in it. Same as with Move or The Wii.

Really? I thought most people said it was the opposite.

I have both; Dance Central is the "real" dance game that will teach you moves and give you some exercise. Dance Masters is more arcadey and is just dance/posing stuff. You don't really dance in that game so much as you strike poses and make motions with your arms.

Also Dance Central is just one person at a time. You can play Dance Masters with 2P together.

Dance Central is LEGIT. Fantastic game. I love the music and I love dancing. I'm bushed after a couple of hours after playing, this is a serious workout. And the instruction is awesome, I'm learning new moves to use IRL all the time. Stoked they put some New Jack Swing in there too!

Kinectimals is also great. Obviously a game geared towards young children but the quality just shines. Amazing animation for the cubs, they're so cute! I'm gonna rinse it for 1000 then give it to my 7 year old brother (Dads buying him a kinect I think).

Kinect Adventures seemed pretty spastic and gay but whatever. Pack in game.

I bought it last night and played kinect adventures. It was the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! But I started feeling sick yesterday afternoon so I had to stop a bit. Today I'm buying the wall mount.

I heard Dance Masters is more like DDR which is right up my alley as opposed to learning real moves.

Sceneman: You'd be surprised. Playing with the racquet ball thing is surprisingly fun dude.
