K&L works well when the focus isn't on shooting.  The first half of K&L1 has combat, but it's scene specific combat, like taking on cops in a police escape or your captors in an abandoned parking lot or sneaking through a nightclub taking out security.  The 2nd half of K&L1 is call of duty with dozens and dozens of generic enemy spawns over and over and when you've finally killed them all you move forward.  This half is terrible.  It also has a good story driving you to keep playing.  Though the story in K&L1 falls apart in the latter half along with the gameplay.

From the demo of K&L2 it seemed the actual shooting mechanics had been improved and the handheld visual camera style gave it character.

yeah, I thought Kane and Lynch 1's first half was fun.  The demo for the second game felt more like the first half of the first game and I was interested in getting it...so I did.

the 7 gig download is more annoying than the $5 tbh

I only spend $4 on the first Kane and Lynch too.  I think that's the good price for a disposable, somewhat entertaining shooter series.

Man I'd really rather play Batman on 360 but that's such a good deal

PC version has perfect support for the 360 controller and since it's Games for Windows Live it even has achievement points (real ones, not the fake steam or ps3 points).

Yeah, $4-5 for a game that's fun for an evening is just right.

I just played the demo and based on your opinion of it, I will never trust your word on games. The camera didn't give it character, it gave me a whopping headache. Shit game. Glad I didn't buy it.

The shakey cam effect can be turned off, although the color banding thing remains as that's part of the game's "style".

i played alpha protocol for about 20 minutes. god the gameplay is awful. the hacking minigames are tedious. one had you trying to navigate some string of text around a huge flashing box of text until you find the segment that matches. i failed it 3 times and turned the game off. btw up to that point i did some shit stealth section with terrible third person controls. so subpar first impression to say the least.

I picked up Blur to support Activision's plundering and raping of Bizarre.  Well that and because GT5 is boring and this will be fun.  $15 was not that good of a price though.  Should've been $10.

Isn't Eufloria an RTS?  I really don't like RTS.

I already have Goo from another bundle and vvvvv.  So it's $5 for Eufloria, some multiplayer FPS I'll never play, and Doc Clock which I've never even heard of.  Probably will pass unless someone says otherwise.

I really do hope they do more of those packs though cause I could easily do something like that for you guys!
EDIT:
Is anyone interested in dawn of war 2 chaos rising? I was thinking about getting a 8 pack but don't know of anyone else to either give or split the cost with.

Let me know if you want to play some multi.  The multiplayer is fun because since everyone is screwing each other nonstop you're constantly shifting around the pack and every tends to stay together with a lot of intense combat going on.

awesome, can't play puzzle agent because of an ongoing known bug situation with Nvidia 400 series cards making the second puzzle impossible to solve, a hardware bug which is not listed on the store page by the way

also can't use the escape key to get to the menu, have to quit the game by alt-tabbing and closing the window

they've been promising to fix it since june

I can probably still install and play it on my old living room PC, but still - fuck you, Telltale, this was one of the main reasons i bought that indie story pack, and you should list shit like that on the store page so people won't waste their money:

with all the glitched out shit i've installed lately, i'm really starting to resent pc gaming - this type of stuff just eats up your time, wastes your money, and drains away any enjoyment right out of the gate
