Using a laptop on an external monitor question
« on: December 26, 2006, 05:16:09 AM »
I want to use my laptop on my Bravia.  I bought the necessary cables and hooked it up, and got exactly what I wanted the first time, which is the same display on both the laptop and the TV at the same time.  However when I went to change the resolution, something happened and now I cannot display on both simultaneously.  I can either do one or the other, and or dual monitor.  How can I fix this?

you might have a special hot key on your keyboard that will cycle through the different display configurations. Most arent available from the display settings in windows as its more of a hardware thing. That is unless your laptop has a good graphics card built into it. Then it might be a special thing in the driver settings or something. But look for a computer/tv screen type button its on most laptops i've fucked around with and use the hotkey to activate it and see what happens.

Sorry cant be much more help

Weird...it seems to have magically appeared while using MAME.
