If anyone grabbed these in the Steam sale, Ubi-Soft just patched out the always on Internet connection requirement for them.

Still requires an online DRM verification every time you start the game, but it isn't a persistent check.  Better, but still not good.

That type of DRM is an abortion. Wow, what a bad idea that was. You can tell no-one in the entire decision making stream plays games, or worries about a typical internet connection.

Good on them for patching it out, but it never should have been there to begin with.
